Need Something To Do Thursday?

Posted By on Thu, Dec 5, 2013 at 7:00 AM

Dodgeball is somewhat of a rite of passage for youth across America. Students grow up, faculty rotates and schools get remodeled, but somewhere in the halls of learning there are closets filled with red rubber balls waiting to be hurled by kids at kids.

While some are traumatized and avoid any type of athletic competition for the remainder of their lives, others develop a thirst for more. If you're one of the latter, get nice and limber for the Holiday Dodgeball Challenge at the Garden City Boys and Girls Club. Assemble your team and battle against those who wish to see you eat hardwood. For information, visit the website or email cj@adaclubs.org.

The event takes place Saturday, Dec. 14, but teams must register by Friday, Dec. 6.

9 a.m. $225 for a team. Garden City Boys and Girls Club, 610 E. 42nd St., Garden City, 208-321-9157, gamedayboise.com.
