Need Something To Do Monday?

Posted By on Thu, Jan 2, 2014 at 6:00 PM

Since 2001, Read Me Treasure Valley has existed as an entity and encouraged Boiseans to read selected works of literature. This year is unique, with the selection being the first-ever nonfiction work, Susan Orlean's The Orchid Thief.

Boise City Council President Maryanne Jordan, Idaho Statesman columnist Dan Popkey and Associate State Librarian Marj Hooper will be on hand to lead the discussion and get you pumped about reading, just like your elementary school teachers tried to do years ago.

11 a.m. FREE. Idaho Botanical Garden, 2355 Old Penitentiary Road., Boise, 208-343-8649, readmetv.com.
