Need Something To Do Friday?

Posted By on Thu, Feb 13, 2014 at 6:00 PM

Every February, schools from Boise and surrounding areas send their vocal jazz ensembles to the Boise State University Vocal Jazz Festival. Kids put on their color coordinated outfits and sing their hearts out in hopes of capturing an award for best group performance or perhaps the affection of a fellow choir member.

Jazz lovers can head to the SUB Friday and check out the various performances for free. The groups perform in the various ballrooms on the second floor. Bring a pair of white gloves to encourage the performers with jazz hands, or bring your Sharpie for autographs from future stars.

Festival begins at 9 a.m. FREE. Boise State University Student Union Building, 1910 University Drive, Boise, 208-426-4636, boisestate.edu.
