Writers are everywhere. That quiet guy in the corner cubicle in your office? Writer. Hostess at your favorite diner? Writer. You? Quite possibly a writer. Whether you have a screenplay hidden away in your desk drawer or you're hacking away at your autobiography, it's good to be inspired by someone who has had some degree of experience and success. It's even better when you can get up close and personal with them.

Author Donna Cook will be at the Library at Cole and Ustick to discuss her approach to writing as well as her novel, Gift of the Phoenix, which received honors at the Top Idaho Author and Book Awards. The event is free and open to the public and will take place in the Sagebrush Room.

Noon. FREE. Library at Cole and Ustick, 7557 W. Ustick Road, Boise, 208-570-6900, boisepubliclibrary.org.
