Need Something To Do Saturday?

Posted By on Fri, Mar 28, 2014 at 6:30 PM

You're not rich, in the cash sense, but your proverbial bank overflows with knowledge. Your mind is as sharp as The Bride's Hattori Hanzo blade in Kill Bill. Why? Because you read. Absorbing classic tales and history through voracious consumption of literature, you're molding your brain into a supercomputer capable of winning some money on Jeopardy, at the very least. And you do have some money, as revealed by the quarters left in your jeans pocket from that lonely Pojo's trip last weekend.

Turn that change into knowledge at the Friends of the Meridian Library Book Sale. Score hardbacks for a buck and paperbacks for 50 cents. This is a one-day-only event—bring your wheelbarrow. Proceeds benefit Meridian Public Library.

10 a.m. FREE. Meridian Public Library Silverstone Branch, 3531 E. Overland Road., Meridian, 208-884-2616, mld.org/silverstone.
