Need Something To Do Saturday?

Posted By on Fri, Apr 4, 2014 at 5:45 PM

Remember the days when you put on your favorite tank top and let the breeze tussle your hair as you cruised through town on your roller skates? Me either, but I will tell that story to my grandchildren anyway. Skating isn't as common a practice as it was a couple decades ago, and those who embraced the sport may not be as active as they used to be.

If your knees can't handle the skating rink anymore, live vicariously through the Treasure Valley Rollergirls at the Spudtown Knockdown. This is your special chance to see women get mad at each other and throw elbows while engaged in recreational activity before the Greenbelt crowd shows up.

8 a.m. $10-$20. Expo Idaho, 5610 Glenwood St., Garden City, 208-287-5650, treasurevalleyrollergirls.net.
