Need Something To Do Wednesday?

Posted By on Wed, Jun 25, 2014 at 11:41 AM

Ambassadors play an important role in international relations. For example, the team of U.S. diplomats in whatever country you vacation in may be able to smooth over that rough patch when you accidentally desecrate a historic monument. Now you can hear truthful and accurate stories from the worldwide realm when the Boise Public Library hosts an expert to tell you first-hand accounts of diplomacy.

Former diplomat and Idaho native Thad Ross will discuss life in the U.S. Consulate and the process of joining the Foreign Service. He is fresh off a two year stint at the American consulate in Chengdu, China.

6:30 p.m. FREE. Boise Public Library, Hayes Auditorium, 715 S. Capitol Blvd., Boise, 208-384-4076, boisepubliclibrary.org.
