Pre-fixe hot-spot State and Lemp is launching a new reduced-price seating Saturday nights at 9 p.m., dubbed the Saturday Night Supper Club. The multiple-course meal, which includes wine pairings, will cost $60 per person as opposed to the usual $105.

“We’re doing it for two reasons: We’re doing it to try to motivate a different crowd to join us, and then we’re also doing it to try to influence that later dining time in Boise and give people that might not have an opportunity to try us because of the price-point an opportunity to try us,” explained co-owner Remi Mcmanus.

Though the Saturday Night Supper Club won’t feature the exact same menu that’s served during State and Lemp's full-priced seating, Mcmanus said it will be fairly similar.

“It won’t necessarily be less food. Sometimes it’ll be less courses; sometimes it might not be less courses; sometimes it might be family style,” said Mcmanus. “For the most part, it will be the same experience that you get at State and Lemp, but we’re going to adapt certain things.”

Mcmanus said he’ll post the first Saturday Night Supper Club menu on State and Lemp’s website Monday, Aug. 4. The inaugural seating will take place Saturday, Aug. 9, at 9 p.m.

“We want to give some people the opportunity to try us who haven’t had the opportunity to do it because we understand that not everybody can afford that price-point,” said Mcmanus. “We don’t want to devalue what we’re doing already—we can’t offer what we’re doing now for less money—but we can do something else and influence, perhaps, a younger crowd or perhaps just people who want to try us out more often.”
