Cameroom Stuned by Gabon 1-0

Cameroon joined Ivory coast, Algeria and Nigeria as the fourth 2010 World Cup goer to fail to impress on their first African Cup of Nations match this year.

Cameroon, a team line-up with world class players, failed to impress yesterday as Gabon held a 1-0 for over 70 minutes to register their first win in the tournament since they last appeared 10 years ago. Samuel Eto'o, the million pounds man that every one was looking at, showed so little threat to the Gabon side that almost made it 2-0 in the second half.

This is really shocking as we are asking, "did we send the wrong nations to the World Cup?" I hope Ghana proves us wrong when they play tournament favorite Ivory Coast.

Zambia managed to hold Tunisia to a 1-1 draw, which put them both in the second place behind Gabon so far with Cameroon on their tail. I hope these World Cup goers will pick up their games in the next two games to avoid early embarrassing elimination.
