I'm every woman

The 11th Annual Celebration of Women in the Arts takes place in and around Hannah's on Tuesday, November 15, from 5 to 10 p.m. Along with amazing visual and performance art, music plays a huge part (as usual) in this year's event. The Divas are Rocci Johnson, Kathy Miller, Carrie Padilla, Kerry Rourke, Deb Sager, Rebecca Scott, Margaret Montrose-Stigers, Sirah Storm and Mary Magill Weaver.

Sometimes it is about me

From the desk of Bands I Can Write About Ad Nauseum Because This Is My Column: My friends the Visible Men are coming back through town. This will be their third time here this year and I, for one, am tickled fuchsia. In support of their sophomore album, Love:30, Dustin Lanker, Dan Schmid and Jordan Glenn continue their tour through the Western United States and Canada. Catch them at Neurolux on Friday. I wonder what color their hair will be this time?

He just looks like a Patagonia model

On Saturdays at 1 p.m., tune into KBSU or KBSW radio to hear Music From Stanley with host and BW contributing writer, Ryan Peck, a terrific musician in his own right. Music from Stanley is a series of concerts recorded this summer at Redfish Lake and features some of the best musicians the Gem State has to offer. The November 12 show features Rebecca Scott and Dan Costello, on November 19 you can hear Gayle Chapman and Doug Cameron, November 26 is Kelly Martin with Becca Gourley and Marcus Eaton and December 3 is Bill Coffey and Ned Evett.
