    A gripping, childish jaunt into the Bush
      Although I loathe the "You're either one of us or one of them" attitude that has sprouted among many of Moore's devotees in my age bracket, this is a film that should be witnessed, and its engendered dialogue is one that should be engaged in-even if, as is often charged, it only serves to cement preexisting opinions.

    Secret Things leaves nothing to the imagination
      Can you hear the horrified gasps of a few dozen Friday-night Flicks-goers? I could. The audience at my particular screening, all of whom were middle-aged couples obviously wanting to engorge, er ... engage in a little rock-gettin'-off while still safely in the realm of "legitimate cinema," suddenly found a wrench thrown in their foreplay machinery.

    Gibson's Passion is all pain, no gain
      Yes, Jim Cavaziel looks sufficiently pained during his scourging as to seem authentic, but his is the easiest Jesus in the history of cinema-the makeup, and the holy baggage that audiences inevitably carry to the theater with them do all the work. Pauly Shore could have performed the role just as well, and the beatings would have seemed far more justified.
