• Victor Pacania Memorial Tonight

Memorial Services for Victor Pacania, the host of KBSU's Saturday "Private Idaho" show since 1977, will be held at Edwards Greenhouse tonight.

Pacania's friends say he asked for a simple, casual affair. So no tuxes! Guests are told to just bring a chair or a blanket and soak in the Pacania celebrations among the gardens.

Edwards Greenhouse is located off Hill Road, several blocks west of 36th Street. The official address is 4106 Sandcreek St.

The event gets underway at 7 p.m.

  • R.I.P Victor Pacania

One of Boise State Radio's best voices has been silenced. Longtime DJ Victor Pacania, host of "A Private Idaho," died Saturday morning.

Pacania, who had pancreatic cancer, was a well-loved radio host who once said, "I don’t know what to call my show. It’s just four hours of whatever seems to fit.”

KBSU general manager John Hess has a few words about Pacania, and the station also has a tribute, with photos, to Pacania.
