    Sent to Iraq before his 18th birthday, this 3rd Infantry soldier's story is best said in his mother's words.
      At the ripe old age of 17, my son Cody D. Force, left home for the desert sands of Iraq, to serve in the U.S. Army with a promise to return home safely. Turning 18 in Iraq as the war began could not have been much fun, but he did not complain. Pictured in Time Magazine that year, laying on his stomach in those hot desert sands, my son defended freedom for whatever valid or invalid reason we are there, without complaint.
