Re: “Addie's

I previously dined at Addie"s several times where i had the best Blueberry pancakes in town served by a pleasant young waiter. I vowed to go back.
Big Mistake. My last visit,(and I do mean last) was completely different. After a long bike ride, I was craving biscuits and gravy. Big Mistake. The owner took my order without the hint of a smile. When I went to wash my hands in the bathroom, discovered the trash can over flowing in a stuffy bathroom with what appeared to be dark mold growing on the walls. That should have given me pause.
My eggs, bacon and biscuits and gravy arrived on a greasy plate, greasy even on the bottom. Eggs and bacon were fine but as hard as I tried to like the biscuits and gravy, I could hardly get a bite down. Jelled sugary- sweet gravy with not a hint of sausage over some ok biscuits. No tip.

I'm a big fan of Addie's. I've been going there for years, and will continue to do so.

Re: “Bleubird

I don't live in Boise anymore but man do I miss the Bleubird! By far the most original, consistently top quality and friendliest sandwich spot in town. Can't wait to go back for a visit.

Re: “Ed's 50s Cafe

Eds 50s cafe is not the Korner bistro. We are open from 6 am to 230 pm 7 days a week.

Re: “Moon's Kitchen Cafe-Downtown

The bacon in my bacon and cheese omelet was burnt to the point that they were semi-solid chunks of black ash. The hashbrowns were also burnt to the point of blackness. I told the server, "This is inedible, it's way too burnt," then she said, "Sorry, I'll go get your check."

Absolutely disgusting food and service.

Re: “Addie's

Cheerful staff, not hardly.. Went here for breakfast today and found the food good, but the service sub par. Food came quick, but so did the push to get us out of the restaurant before we barely started eating. What a great way to ruin our first time there, most likely won't go back.

Re: “Bleubird

There is a reason why you see the line going out the doors, this place is a delightful lunch spot. The ingredients are great, the food is fresh, and the dishes are a great take on some of the classics such as the grilled cheese. That was a lovely surprise and you will see why when you taste it. Also the chefs/owners are super sweet, nice and they are just awesome people =)

Re: “Egg Factory-Nampa

Very good menu, excellent service even when it's really busy, rainbow pancakes for the kiddos, good eggs benedict, but the coffee is bad.

Re: “Merritt's Family Restaurant

Any time after 10pm, you should expect to feel like you're bothering the staff if you walk in the door. They're not there to work, and they could care less if they're going to serve you, and only parties with drunken women in tow will even get noticed. They'll have to fend off slavering hillbillies with a stick, possibly literally, though. Once a Boise tradition, now one of the worst dives in the city. Makes Denny's look like Barbacoa.

Re: “The Capri

This is one of the best dives around. However, they do not have Italian food so the menu above is wrong. No choice between Capri, Moon's, or Goldy's. If you want to have great food that costs a lot pick Goldy's. If you want to spend too much choose Moon's--very average breakfast. Capri is for everyone else. Good solid American food with no pretenses. Try the Chicken Fried Steak or any omelet. And their pancakes just soak up the syrup. Yummy!! If you have hash browns, ask to get them crisp or you'll get "hash whites". Otherwise, enjoy it. Almost forgot, I usually get biscuits & gravy. They have nice big biscuits that they heat up by buttering and browning on the grill. Very good. They are crowded, I usually end up sitting at the counter. Friendly but businesslike. They are normally real busy.

Re: “Goldy's Breakfast Bistro

Definitely the best breakfast in Boise! The eggs benedict, the french toast, and breakfast burrito are all great! So good in fact that I'm sure there's not a bad item on their entire menu. Be prepared to wait, but we always put our name in and then go for a walk to build up our appetite! You won't be disappointed!!

Re: “Addie's

This was a terrible experience. Will never go back. Seriously it's breakfast...how hard is it? The service was terrible which I'm okay with if they keep my coffee cup filled. They couldn't even do that ...will never go back. Couldn't even get anybody to take our money to pay. Don't know who manages this place but somethings missing.

Re: “Denny's

I have been going to Denny's for years. My family loves it there, and I don't mind it at all. I have always had first rate service and the type of food Denny's is famous for. You want a Kobe beef ribeye? Don't go there. You want fancy wine and musical guests? Don't go there. Want HUGE portions, a handful of salt in all the dishes and high prices? Don't go to Denny's. But, if you want home cooking, and really reasonable prices, and good service, go there.

Re: “Denny's

as soon as we walked in we should have turned around and left. we had to wait for someone to notice us standing there waiting to be seated....one was on her phone and the others didn't bother to look up. there was a few people in there at 5pm on a wednesday. that should have been the other sign to leave......service was extremely poor, like she didn't want to be there working, the food was tasteless, plus our waitress NEVER came by to ask if everything was ok and never asked if we needed another soda. we will never go there again!

Re: “Brick Oven Bistro

Went with family including kids. No one, I mean no one out of 7 liked their food. Smelled great, what pulled us in. But big disappointment all round. Skimpy portions as well for the money. Won't be going back. Way too many other better choices.
