Re: “Symposion

this bar cert. good for the doggies, and their owners.. there aren't that many places to take the same, and have a drink... sadly, there was a distinct and unmistakable ANTI-STRAIGHT roll here... you would think that those who've been so discriminated against for so long (gay-folk) would be more tolerant of everyone.. even us straight folk... but they are not. Not at the symposium. Not at all. Openly hostile.
shocking. Also, kind of a hole-in-the-wall / dump.
oh well. :-(

Re: “Casanova Pizzeria

Along with 'Tony's Pizzeria Teatro' this is the best pizza in town! Yes, 'Guido's' has it's place too, but for the 'real deal' 'Casanova's' shares top honors here in Boise and perhaps the entire country.

I like their policy on happy hour. I think that I would love this bar.

Re: “Dirty Shame Saloon

Great bar! The bartenders are very accommodating and fun! The locals can be intimidating at first but really just looking for a good time like anyone else!

Re: “Sam's Saloon

The only place in the valley with $2.50 drinks. Mike's is also $2.50. Level pool table. Worth the drive from Nampa.

Re: “Flying Pie Pizzaria-Fairview

Not even a shadow of its former self--new owners are surviving on past owners' reputation, I'm afraid ...

Re: “Casanova Pizzeria

The 900 degree wood fire oven turned out the greatest pizza that has ever touched my lips. The Margarita pizza is my favorite. Minimal fresh ingredients. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Re: “The New Frontier Club

A group of us went here Saturday night and had a blast! They were very busy and even though they only had 2 bartenders u received your drink very quickly! Great music and great people! No cover is great also. We will return.

Re: “The New Frontier Club

LOTS of local music on Fridays (mostly metal), most shows have not cover charge, yay! The drinks are inexpensive and the crowd is very mixed and extremely friendly! LOVE the bartenders!

Re: “10th Street Station

Since new owner Dan K. took over a few months ago (maybe closer to a year now) 10th Street Station has improved vastly. Higher-end liquors, better beers, and proper pint-sized pours! And say what you will about the smoking ban, this place desperately needed cleaner air. There aren't a lot of places that don't blare music all night, and although when it's crowded it can be loud inside, it's still a pleasant place to be most times.

Re: “Liquid Lounge

This rating has nothing to do with the entertainment provided but the establishment it self.
We are a couple whom likes great music, food and fun. We seemingly experienced this at Liquid- we thought. We have enjoyed the place about every other month for the last year, after dinner a concert or show. One of us in the couple (mostly the Male counterpart) is the designated driver and remains sober. However, it would always seem that our drinks would disappear. Go to the bathroom come back, wheres my drink? Go dance a little come back to sit down, where's our drinks?
While dancing last night Wife ran off the dance floor following a young man (waiter, busser) whom started practically running from her....she retrieved her drink from him 3/4 full (Sapphire gin and tonic)- He said he thought it was empty....I addressed the bartender about the drinks being taken and she said we don't have wait staff....I said ok....then pointed to the guy who took our drinks "that guy" and was informed by the female bartender he is a bartender not waitstaff....
A different bartender indicated they clear the drinks up fast in case someone will slip you a "roofie". (Is that commonly found to be happening at Liquid that much that drinks need to be stolen by the bartenders not the wait staff?) More like a way to increase beverage sales.

We value the service we receive and generally leave generous tips especially when the entertainment is great. There is another review listed here on yelp about not getting change back and our experience with the thievery of full drinks, be aware and watch your money and drinks carefully.

Re: “Cactus Bar

Never going here. I was designated driver for my group of friends and my friend simply asked for less ice in her drink (they filled it over the cup there was barely even room for alcohol). She sat there and glared at my friend and proceeded to put heaping mounds of ice in her drink. When my friend asked again to please put less ice, the bartender decided to scream at her in front of the whole bar and went on a rant about how she was going to make the drink how she wanted to. Then decided to go on a rant with a fellow bartender in front of everyone. Worst customer service I had ever seen in my life at a bar. I will never buy a drink from you again after soberly witnessing how you treated your customers.

Re: “Jo's Sunshine Lounge CLOSED

The worst service I have ever received. The server with long red hair that rudely yells at you to get your id out, then yells out your beer to grab it from her, then sticks her armpit in your food, then yells, "You can't f*** me here" to a patron, then ignores your table for the rest of the night so that you have to walk up to the bar to get your drinks makes me positive that I will never step foot in there again.

Re: “Revolution Concert House and Event Center

I don't care if the biggest artist in the world came to the Revolution Center, I would not go! This place is a JOKE!!! Went there for New Year's Eve, took over 40 minutes to get a drink, why? because they had one bartender. The "managers" were standing behind the bar with full drinks in hand and kept pouring their own drinks while hundreds of people were waiting for a beer!! That was the worse night ever! Will never go back and I have been spreading the word!! Get your shit together if you are trying to bring artists to Boise at least make the people that attend the concerts happy! Whole experience was horrible!!!

Re: “Eastside Tavern

My husband and I went to the Eastside last Friday and agree with the above stmts about the smell in the bar. We did not witness "George's" profanity or sexual exploits surely because we were there early, that being said the people there were already beyond drunk and there were 2 dogs running around the bar. We used to frequent there back in the day of live music when it was packed and fun. Needless to say we wolfed down our pitcher of beer and left immediately trying to keep the beer down as we left this smelly excuse for a bar.......Oh yeah, and there was no service either, the waitress on staff was too busy partying with the patrons sitting at the bar!
