Re: “Boise State Summit Focuses on Inclusion, Workplace Diversity

So in others words, a softly worded call for Affirmative Action with a bunch of added steps.

Re: “Frank Church Conference Focuses Lens on Refugee Crisis in the Era of Trump

Boise: resist this nonsense. This is suicide, economically, culturally, and sacrificing public health/public safety.

Communicable diseases, increased crime/violence, behavior, which were unheard of 20 years ago. It is all but over for Minneapolis - St Cloud - Wilmar - Rochester, MN as well. After 45 years, it is no longer safe to live here, and I must now leave.

Do not allow it to gain a foothold in your community/state. See today's Europe for all the evidence you need to accept this warning.

No place on earth has this experiment worked, and has ended badly for the "host" nation/city, as a "host" is to a parasite.

"Resettlement" of these people as "refugees" is a fraud. Many are dangerous "immigrants"; and for the most part do not want to assimilate into the tapestry of Americans. (see Brooklyn born-radical Palestinian, Linda Sarsour U-Tube speeches).

..Mislabeled as "refugees" to garner your sympathy, they will drain assets - overwhelm your political/law enforcement systems. See Dearborn, Michigan, Lewiston, Maine, Minneapolis, and throughout the US.

"Refugee Resettlement Program" contractors (Catholic Charities - Lutheran Social Services) - are making money (your money) hand over fist, while selling out US citizens. ..all for (Reps) cheap labor, or (Dems) cheap votes.

Re: “Frank Church Conference Focuses Lens on Refugee Crisis in the Era of Trump

Bottom line: What will this cost you to keep getting cheaper yogurt and meat?

Consider these calculations on costs to locals to support mass immigration to Willmar, MN by local resident, Bob Enos, an ex-Wall Street stockbroker, now retired:

Re: “Frank Church Conference Focuses Lens on Refugee Crisis in the Era of Trump

Why the hell do we want to import the violence and Sharia Law of the middle east into our peaceful country? It's not worth it for cheap immigrant labor doing jobs that belong to Americans.

Re: “Frank Church Conference Focuses Lens on Refugee Crisis in the Era of Trump

Ask yourself, why is America the only spot that refugee groups are trying to send people ? why are they attempting to shame us into opening our doors to mass immigration ? there are many countries that are closer and would be more culturally compatible for refugees, why are they not the first choice ?

Jobs for Americans should come first! Immigrants are brought into the country and those who bring them in are paid Big Bucks! Make sure that Americans get those jobs!

Re: “Idaho Legislators Receive Provocative Halloween Card Ripping Into Faith-Healing Protections

Where are the advocates for the right to life and the pursuit of happiness for Idaho children? It is unconscionable that Idaho legislators would actively allow the neglect, suffering, permanent disability and death of children. This issue is about childrens rights to basic healthcare treatments that helps them live as full and productive a life as possible.

How many of Idahos legislators or their children have had antibiotics for pneumonia or a cast to heal a broken leg? Imagine these basic treatments being withheld, causing a child to suffer, become permanently disabled, or die.

It is past time for Idaho legislators to take action to protect vulnerable children.

Re: “Idaho Legislators Receive Provocative Halloween Card Ripping Into Faith-Healing Protections

In Idaho, parents are legally allowed to neglect their children by claiming adherence to various religious beliefs. These might be in prayer alone for healing or in complete reliance on God's will when it comes to the life and death of a child.

Being neglected, maimed, or killed in the name of religion is nothing new. While we cannot prevent adults from practicing whatever rituals they choose for themselves, we certainly can and should protect innocent children who cannot make that choice for themselves.

Along with our legislators, coroners should also be held accountable and not allowed to cater to parents who allow their children to die from preventable illnesses.

Once the religious exemption law is repealed, the religious zealots who deny modern medicine and allow their infants and children to die from preventable illnesses will still be allowed to freely practice their religions...just not in a manner that leads to the death of their children.

This crap is bad and the only reason it is allowed is "Greed for votes and power"...Why else would faith healing be allowed for children in this day and age ?

Re: “Trump Hiring Freeze Unplugs Ovens at Job Corps, Impacts Boise Rescue Thanksgiving Meal for Homeless

This is FAKE NEWS people.... It was no surprise that I was retiring, there was a decision made to discontinue all the community projects from that point by the Job Corp. It does not have anything to do with Trump... There is plenty of trained staff and students willing to do the work. Signed Chef Jack D'Orazio and so true this is such a generous community I will volunteer my services anytime!!

Jude, the headline is not misleading. From the article, Due to a federal hiring freeze mandated by President Donald Trump, the program can't hire a new instructor.

Re: “Trump Hiring Freeze Unplugs Ovens at Job Corps, Impacts Boise Rescue Thanksgiving Meal for Homeless

There is no crisis and our holiday meal celebrations are going to be as great as ever. Because this is the most generous community on the face of the earth, our turkey challenge is answered by another local business. We will still need to raise (gather, not grow) 5,000 turkeys to serve all of the orders for food boxes that we'll have for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so help out your neighbors folks, and donate a turkey to the Mission!

The title of this article is misleading. Please stop bashing the President for something he had no control over. The BRM Program is at fault for this problem because they should have had a second in command when the chef retired.

Re: “Oct. 23, 2017: What to Know

Still waiting for a response to my comment on police killing of a suspect. "I find it of interest that this article says the officer was cleared by Blaine County Prosecutor Jim Thomas. It does not document either in the text or in the video that the dead suspect actually had a gun, having said that a non police person had made that allegation. Just wondering, was there a gun and is there contemporary video that shows it in the possession of the dead suspect?" posted at 10/18/2017 at 3:12 PM
