Re: “Booze at the Movies IV: The Prequel

Just as you can know the quality of a person by the quality of their work...The lame laws are the work of lame leaders.

Re: “Amendment to Concealed-Carry Law Passes Through Idaho Legislature Committee

The Second Amendment has Biblical Natural Law foundation. Our Lord said in Luke 11:21, When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace. In Luke 22:35, 36 He said, He that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. The principle of armed self-defense is redundant throughout the scriptures in both testaments. Genesis 14, Esther 8 and 9, and Revelation 13:10 are good places to start. In fact, Revelation 13:10 is an extended commentary on the words of Jesus to Simon Peter in the Garden of Gethsemane when Christ told Peter to put up (not give up) his sword in Matthew 26:52. No passage of Scripture has been more egregiously misinterpreted (except Romans 13*) than this passage in Matthew.

Re: “Amendment to Concealed-Carry Law Passes Through Idaho Legislature Committee

The right of a citizen to bear arms, in lawful defense of himself or the State, is absolute. He does not derive it from the State government. It is one of the high powers" delegated directly to the citizen, and `is excepted out of the general powers of government.' A law cannot be passed to infringe upon or impair it, because it is above the law, and independent of the lawmaking power." [Cockrum v. State, 24 Tex. 394, at 401-402 (1859)]

This doesn't just hurt BCM. This hurts festivals such as Idaho Horror Film Festival and i48 that utilize The Egyptian Theatre as an exhibition space to showcase the State's native filmmakers.

Re: “Not My Values

Yes, thank goodness we live in a country that provides clean tap water as well as safety and security to all of its citizens and whose free and open elections are completely above reproach. It would be shameful to take those things for granted.

Re: “Fear Full

Funny how the Democrats get a pass on all the anti civil rights they subjected minorities to...educate yourselves on the atrocities of the left wing until they figured out they could control minorities by giving them free stuff so they could acquire their votes....
Republicans like Martin Luther King , bet you didn't know he was Repub, knew better than to get into bed with the democrats. He knew they would be kept down for generations and its coming true.
Obama lied and coddled you into submission, you will belive anything spouting from a dems mouth now. He did you no favors.
You might not like Trump, but he's yet to give you a reason to bash him. Let's see where we are in a year or two then judge the man as president. I did for Obama , I kept hoping for change.

Re: “Trump's Clumsy Sweep: Idaho Immigrants Caught in Political Divide

We are NOT talking about legal green card carrying immigrants!!!!! Why can't some people grasp this concept???? Yes, we are all immigrants to this country, but we are talking about ILLEGAL, FELONY, MISDEMEANOR,ON THE RUN FOR THEIR CRIMES, NON CARD CARRYING ILLEGALS!!! If you still believe after this clarification that this thought process is inhuman, please, I beg of you, set an example and open your home. Please house and feed these people and get them off of our welfare system because I for one, do not want to pay for them. If you do, awesome! Please show us your true humane side and not just rhetoric

Re: “Effort to Quash Electioneering on School Bonds Moving Forward at Idaho Statehouse

The Republicans in this state will do anything to keep non Republicans from voting. That's what this is about. They do not want people getting absentee ballots.

To SHOOGI, you don't sound very bright yourself.
Most of Micron's workers are immigrants, pretty sure they are smarter and brighter than half of Idaho's population.
You are what the problem with this country is, not the immigrants. Take a good look at yourself and ask yourself "am I a good human being?". We both know the answer to that, I feel sorry for you.

Re: “Trump's Clumsy Sweep: Idaho Immigrants Caught in Political Divide

Good riddance to these people who have illegally invaded our country! Fuck your globalist agenda, it is a privilege to live in this country, and we shouldn't allow border hoppers to stay here. And fuck the agriculture industry, they are the ones who have lobbied to keep this source of cheap labor flowing across our border. And Trump is right, these aren't the best and brightest coming here, they are overwhelmingly uneducated Rancheros. The biggest problem to me is the attempt at changing our culture, marching in our streets with mexican flags, committing vandalism, creating gangs, REAL Americans are sick of this shit! They want to make this Mexico, which, for the most part is an utter shithole.

Re: “Fear Full

Hi Zach, Thanks for picking my home, St. Croix, to celebrate your 10th anniversary last August. St. Croix has been my home for almost 20 years. We are a wonderful community of multiple ethnic groups. The mood toward national politics is now trending toward just wanting to get away from all the "sound and fury signifying nothing" (Macbeth Act V, Scene V). Of course we have more than our share of crazy politics here, but at least we can go down to one of our many beaches and relax by the waves. As a freelance photographer for The Virgin Islands Daily News, I am able to attend events and functions throughout St. Croix. My observation is that the majority of people living here are very unhappy with the current administration. I hope you will visit St. Croix again. Cheers, Linda Morland

Re: “Greg Pruitt Speaks at Idaho Gun Rally, Unholsters 'New Agenda'

Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act Constitutional - Is a Trojan Horse..
The bill is a dastardly trick and a Trojan horse for institutionalizing licenses, permits, national ID cards, etc.

And the end game of all those licenses, permits, national ID cards and such is eventual confiscation of all arms.

And after that extermination.

Here is the 2014 edition: https://www.congress.gov/bill/113th-congre…

Also, the federal government has no constitutional authority to make ANY laws dictating who may and who may not carry arms; or under what circumstances people may and may not carry arms across State borders! Arms control of the people is not an enumerated power!

video on arms, here it is: https://vimeo.com/60944105

State concealed carry laws which require a "permit" is an idea crafted in the pits of h ell. The real purpose is to register gun owners! People think it is so cool to have a permit for concealed carry - they don't understand that it is like the free sample of heroin.

Re: “Greg Pruitt Speaks at Idaho Gun Rally, Unholsters 'New Agenda'

The TRUTH about the "supremacy clause" - our Constitution does not delegate to the national government authority to restrict our arms, ammunition, regulate firearms dealers, do background checks, etc. The national government may not lawfully circumvent this restriction by means of a treaty wherein the signatory governments agree to disarm their Citizens or Subjects.

Re: “Idaho Panel Will Consider 'Convention of the States' Proposal to Amend U.S. Constitution

Unfortunately there's so much incorrect and biased information in the media and in opponents comments, the nature, structure and operation of an actual Article V convention has been lost in the negative propaganda.
