Re: “Watch Your Cycling/Driving/Walking

I just got hit on my bike this evening, right in front of the Walmart on Overland. Tip to drivers: When you hit someone who's riding their bike, get off your cell phone and get out and see if their alright, thanks.

Wtf? "Liberal"? I'm proud to be socially liberal in respect to everyone's choice to live and worship how they please, as long as they're not interfering with the pursuit of happiness of others.

Not sure how "liberalism" has anything to do with promoting murder, so check yourself. The system apparently failed us all, and that's not a product of one side vs. another.

Re: “Sept. 7, 2017: What to Know

Oh look, another failed liberal cause! Bruce Marchant. Read prior statesman articles about this POS and how the SJW and rental profiteers made it possible for him to survive as a bottom feeder for several years in Boise. Ironic it was the landlord's child he killed, but could have been anyone. Some people simply need to be exterminated like the bugs they are. Idiot SJW want to give them unlimited chances to redeem themselves.

Re: “UPDATED: Idaho Secretary of State Fulfills Presidential Election Integrity Commission Voter Roll Request

I'm not a big fan of Trump but truly enjoy how upsetting he is to so many core party people on both sides. Extra special chuckle for the sniveling SJWs who have wasted so much of my time and money supporting lost causes while attempting to make life difficult for hardworking proud Americans. You know our country is broken when illegals march on our Universities with a Mexican flag, giving us the finger, while we pay for their food, clothing, housing, and tuition. Trump's audit of the voter logs is a good thing. When the race got tight Obama and Hillary openly told illegals to vote. Many recorded interviews at polling places indicated election workers were willing to allow illegals to vote.

Re: “Driverless In Boise?

Another A.I. foot in the door. Another jobless job builder. Where does it end? Also, when does this so-called 4.4% unemployment rate start generating some improved wages? With a UE rate that low....you'd think we already would have a minimum wage at $12+ an hour, right? Maybe the 4.4% is fake news. Just like the idea that we'll all be still employed when the robots take over.

Re: “Driverless In Boise?

"... approximately 1,400 people per day would ride a downtown streetcar if it was free."

It will NOT be free! DUH!!! Approx. $120 million startup cost, and estimates of around $3.3 million per year. If you totally ignore the startup cost, and if the 1400-riders-per-day estimate is accurate, that works out to about $6.45 per ride. The passengers might not put $6.45 into the box... deep-pockets taxpayers will end up footing the bill. (Along with the $120 million to get the thing up and running.)

The Boise Guardian has been following the story for years. Here's an example: http://boiseguardian.com/2016/03/02/guardi…
Or... watch the Simpsons episode, "Marge vs. the Monorail." Classic!

Re: “Watch Your Cycling/Driving/Walking

Amen, Amy.

Each of us needs to remember that we are ambassadors for our mode of travel in the moment, whether car, bike or feet. It's been a long period of disruption; we're all ready for an end to the noise and mud. Let's hope these projects are completed soon and no one is injured or killed in the process.

Keep breathing.

Re: “Driverless In Boise?

Sure.....one more way to screw Taxicab Drivers and give Beiter a LEGACY. Bad enough the State took fat check from Uber (probably in the millions) now facing 10,000 cars that believe they are taxis. This State is full of greedy pricks that DO NOT care about small and medium sized businesses...they take our MONEY then say "stop complaining". I say FIRE all the pricks in that capitol building and SUE UBER for BREACH OF CONTRACT (now they have signage and toplights) WTF ? and give the money you got bribed with back to whoever bought you.

Re: “From the Far Margins

Nicole, This hits the nail square on the head---your article should somehow be republished daily until somebody in state or city government understands that this is a very simple solution to a complicated problem---if the people that are able adopted a homeless tenant and the city zoning allowed (I hate that we have to be "allowed" by our public servants to help our fellow man) then we could go a long way to solving this horrendous problem that is tantamount to "social genocide"

Re: “Jury Awards $1.5 Million to Detective in ISP Whistleblower Trial

A very similar story to the nurse getting arrested in SLC in July. The part of the SLC story they are not talking about is why did the police so desperately need a blood sample? Because the police pressed a vehicle chase so hard they put the general public at risk and caused an accident. They needed a way to blame the burn injury patient for his burns. They wanted to show he was on drugs. Never mind he was loaded with morphine from being in the burn unit. The police would have taken that sample and written him a DUI ticket. The Utah police are well known for writing DUI tickets to sober people with a limp. The police should not be allowed to handle evidence anymore because the police have a track record of falsifying evidence such as exposed in this ISP case and many many others caught on video across the country. The biggest danger to American's liberty today is the police. Don't get too excited about this case. A higher court full of insider appointees with skeletons in the closet with reduce or overturn the lower court? I think the finding of the rancher shooting in Council need to be reexamined and likely many other ISP investigations.

Why didn't the lifestyle publications factor in this terrible air quality when giving Boise super high quality of life ratings? Been hiding in the house all week. Then just as soon as the forest fires burn out the winter inversion happens.

These are productive young adults who have lived in this country their entire lives. This policy reversal is fueled entirely by white cultural concerns. Congressman Steve King put it succinctly:

"Culture and demographics are our destiny. We can't restore our civilization with somebody else's babies.

Re: “Will Trump Kill the DACA Dream?

Nice boohoo story but I'm way past giving a shit. Trump got elected because so many people are tired of boohoo stories about everyone except the core American's who are footing the bill for all this liberal drivel. Do you realize there are white kids with a high school 4.0 going to BSU and UI and ISU because they can't get accepted to the ethnically cleansed socially engineered State University a mile from their California homes?

It was ethically and morally wrong of Obama and friends to push the dreamer law up the nation's rear. I'm so happy someone is willing to rip it up. Mexico and all the other Latin American countries are in dire need of upstanding citizens to overthrow the communism, crime, and corruption. These folks can go back and fix their country so we would need a way anymore.

All that said GOP wants to be able to exploit the cheap labor markets caused by illegals and is not about to let Trump win.
