Re: “Climate Strange: Idaho's Tug of War on Climate Change

If CO2 isn't the culprit, great, but if CO2 is causing the earth to warm so rapidly, it's probably too late to prevent the predicted catastrophes.

Re: “Climate Strange: Idaho's Tug of War on Climate Change

Jon - I am truly mystified as to how you think addressing climate change would line my own pockets. It is the fossil fuel industry that is flooding politicians with campaign donations, and I can assure you they are not donating to my campaign.

Re: “Once in a Lifetime

I'd like to make a correction. While Boise experiences a 99% partial eclipse, that city is NOT inside the path of totality, the only area you can witness nature's greatest sight. Boise is very close to totality, so all Boiseans are urged to take a short drive on I-84 inside the path of totality. You will never regret doing so.

Re: “Once in a Lifetime

The Total Eclipse of the Sun is a once in a lifetime opportunity to stimulate Americans to come together in their communities and learn about science and the workings of the universe.

Do you think it is possible for environmental groups across America to work together to help stimulate community discussions between students, teachers, family and friends about how to understand and communicate the science behind environmental issues? Here is an idea for a 7 generation project to kickstart this effort - starting with Earth Day and the National Marches For Science, April 22 and continuing on through the total Eclipse of the Sun on August 21 and into the long range future.

Re: “Climate Strange: Idaho's Tug of War on Climate Change

AGW is nothing but FRAUD only the mentally challenged believe in.

A simple greenhouse test:

- 20x20x8' greenhouse has 3,200 cubic feet
- The amount of CO2 is 1.28 cubic feet
- Does any grown sane adult honestly believe adding or removing 1 cubic foot of CO2 from the greenhouse is going to magically change the temperature by 2C?

If this was true why would anyone need to pay for energy to heat their house? All they would need to do is put a clear bubble on their roof and fill it with 100% CO2.

- The amount of CO2 increase since 1960 is equal to 7x7x7" in the greenhouse. Does anyone think this makes a difference?

- The fact is 224 cubic feet of CO2 is required to make the greenhouse temperature rise by 1C, about 70,000 PPM.

MSM and governments are scam artists, brainwashing the ignorant masses with fairy tales while they are taxed into oblivion.

Global Cooling, Global Warming, Climate Change.. I suggest you do something useful with your time Rubel and help the people of Idaho instead of lining you own pocket.

Re: “Idaho Senate Approves Memorial Asking for National Park Designation for Craters of the Moon

Make it happen! The people and economies of SE Idaho need this! The only opposition to this name-change has been based in skepticism, misinformation, and a total lack of verifiable information or research. Land-use designations would not change (grazers would still graze/hunters would still hunt on the preserve portion), the highway would still be operated by the state (like it has been since 1941/ hay trucks can still drive through unimpeded like they always have), and the gateway communities/surrounding areas would see huge economic benefits (the driving force behind this whole idea).

Re: “Idaho Senate Approves Memorial Asking for National Park Designation for Craters of the Moon

How will this effect the farming, ranching, and the trucking community in our county, we rely on that road to take our commodities to the dairies in the Jerome area. What are the laws on trucking commodities on National Park highways? We can't afford to have every hay or grain load inspected or certified before it enters the park............farming and ranching is a major part of this community, if we can't truck our commodities through the park I am totally against it, on the other hand if trucks can go through without hindrance I'm all for it. I'm sure Sun Valley can't wait for this to happen........it will help them tremendously!

Re: “Trump's Clumsy Sweep: Idaho Immigrants Caught in Political Divide

To idahogr142: not all "non card carrying" immigrants ae on the run for their crimes. They do not participate in the welfare system, nor are they, despite the populist propaganda, more likely to commit crimes. Most are hard working parents who just want a better life for their families. Many have been your neighbors for years. they own homes, pay taxes, and even own businesses. Yes some are criminals, as are some American born persons. This does not make the entire group evil or criminal. See the individuals, not the "bad hombres" in the press and send the deviant, criminal (not parking tickets or speeding tickets) away. Keep the good hard working citizens-in-waiting and give them legal status. As a country we will benefit.

Dear Ted, Bye Bye, And Shoofly. Are you ready to go out in the fields and pick your food? I doubt it. Never seen white ass America out there. When the labor is gone so is the food.

Re: “Trump's Clumsy Sweep: Idaho Immigrants Caught in Political Divide

I hope the law passes. Shame on Idaho, and the rest of the US, for building an economy dependent on illegal immigration. Here's another law they should pass. All employers/farmers knowingly employing illegal aliens should be warned for a first offense, fined for a second & jailed for repeated offenses. Illegals would not come or stay if they couldn't find a job.

Re: “Trump's Clumsy Sweep: Idaho Immigrants Caught in Political Divide

We are NOT talking about legal green card carrying immigrants!!!!! Why can't some people grasp this concept???? Yes, we are all immigrants to this country, but we are talking about ILLEGAL, FELONY, MISDEMEANOR,ON THE RUN FOR THEIR CRIMES, NON CARD CARRYING ILLEGALS!!! If you still believe after this clarification that this thought process is inhuman, please, I beg of you, set an example and open your home. Please house and feed these people and get them off of our welfare system because I for one, do not want to pay for them. If you do, awesome! Please show us your true humane side and not just rhetoric

Re: “Trump's Clumsy Sweep: Idaho Immigrants Caught in Political Divide

To SHOOGI, you don't sound very bright yourself.
Most of Micron's workers are immigrants, pretty sure they are smarter and brighter than half of Idaho's population.
You are what the problem with this country is, not the immigrants. Take a good look at yourself and ask yourself "am I a good human being?". We both know the answer to that, I feel sorry for you.

Re: “Trump's Clumsy Sweep: Idaho Immigrants Caught in Political Divide

Good riddance to these people who have illegally invaded our country! Fuck your globalist agenda, it is a privilege to live in this country, and we shouldn't allow border hoppers to stay here. And fuck the agriculture industry, they are the ones who have lobbied to keep this source of cheap labor flowing across our border. And Trump is right, these aren't the best and brightest coming here, they are overwhelmingly uneducated Rancheros. The biggest problem to me is the attempt at changing our culture, marching in our streets with mexican flags, committing vandalism, creating gangs, REAL Americans are sick of this shit! They want to make this Mexico, which, for the most part is an utter shithole.
