Re: “Leaders Break Ground on Housing-First Development for Chronically Homeless in Boise

Hi, Cassandra Solmonsen here. I did not conduct the study referenced in this article, I only referenced it from the original author. Her work can be found here: https://sps.boisestate.edu/ipi/files/2016/10/161011-Homelessness-in-Ada-County-DBA-for-web.pdf

That amount of money is accumulative of yearly services, it is the total for each ER trip, arrest, detainment etc which does equal a large amount, especially when averaged out over a daily expense.

Re: “Keeping the Faith, Fighting the Exemptions

Hospitalization and medical errors now in the Top 3 leading causes of death, per John's Hopkins University.

Boise Weekly, I'd love to see unbiased reporting, but what continues to be printed are pieces that clearly favor state control of citizens over personal rights and sovereignty.

Re: “Keeping the Faith, Fighting the Exemptions

Parents should have final authority on their children, except in cases of actual abuse, without exception. There is no benefit in getting the state involved. Conventional medicine is not a gold-standard. People die when they make choices, and those happen from conventional treatment or otherwise. Who defines what is "safe" or "appropriate" to determine if a child is in an "acceptable" environment? State definitions are vague and damaging to parental rights and don't actually protect the child. There are multiple considerations such as whether the child is better off removed from its home environment, whether recommended medical treatment is actually beneficial. There are reports of abused children in foster care. CPS is responsible for a growing incidence of human trafficking. Why aren't citizens up in arms about this?

Please watch this video with Tammi Stefano, Executive Director of The National Safe Child Coalition who works with parents and courts to rescue children from CPS where trafficking occurs and children are not reported.

Ultimately, this isn't about faith-healing, it's about ending parental rights. It is discrminatory and fascist, and we must do whatever we can to stop it.
