Re: “Mr. Cope's Cave: Silly, Silly, Stupid Things Gun Nuts Do

@boi22toy, I would argue they are not well regulated. Certainly not soldiers. Definitely not competent, in Mr. Reed's case, to operate a firearm safely.

Re: “Mr. Cope's Cave: Silly, Silly, Stupid Things Gun Nuts Do

Guarding soldiers who are not allowed to defend themselves is doing a lot more than the libtard solution of the old "no guns allowed" sign. How's that working out by the way? Of course if you really wanted to make a difference, you could stop ridiculing people from behind the safety of the internet and act as an unarmed human shield for our men and women in uniform. Heck, you'd be the first useful liberal in human history.

Re: “Mr. Cope's Cave: Silly, Silly, Stupid Things Gun Nuts Do

Bill, don't get so excited. These people are just a well-regulated army of civilian soldiers (militia, if you will) guarding our regular soldiers. The regular soldiers may not want them there to guard them, but we do live in a free country.

Who would run the country better...Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump?
I'll "GO Trump" any day of the week.
I'm not Democrat or Republican, I vote my conscience.

Re: “Faith Value

This GOD thing is particularly interesting if you were to consider that the PEOPLE are in fact GOD and that we came here to manifest GOD in the FLESH. This manifested as a people that are self-governing and each individual freewill sovereigns. This is who and what we are. HUMAN DIGNITY.

Re: “Faith Value

Hi Bill. Your comments reminded me of my experience in the Methodest Church in Caldwell back in the depression days of the 1930's. We (my older brother and me) were born in Eastern Idaho and because my mother threw a fit up in Teton Basin when she was eight years old and would not go to be baptized we were raised as secular humanists, though we didn't know it at the time, and ended up, as the belivers like to say, "Unchurched". Anyway, I see that my comments are limited to 200 words and I can't do justice to my story of being eleven years of age and going to a church for the first time in my young life in such a short tweet like format. I have to say you are a ray of light in this pit of blackness called Idaho.

Good article Bill, your Mom would not agree but your Dad may have. Always enjoy your articles when you talk about real people and real times of the days in Meridian.

Re: “Puppies and Guns

"If you want to change America's relationship with firearms you have to change the independent clause in the Second Amendment."

To which the SCOTUS responded, a priori:

"The right there specified is that of 'bearing arms for a lawful purpose.' This is not a right granted by the Constitution. Neither is it in any manner dependent upon that instrument for its existence." - U S v. CRUIKSHANK, 92 U.S. 542 (1875) 92 U.S. 542

Re: “Red Out, Again

Found this article earlier today and, well, I got a bit peeved. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Gritz when I was a teenager, up in Kamiah, where I grew up. Nice guy, with common sense about our country. I disagree with Mr. Cope's opinion about North Idaho, across the board, primarily because I doubt the fool lived there 20 years and has little idea of the quality of individual up there, who actually have a clue about what's going on. Kind of makes sense that Cope resides in Boise, the liberal "bastion" of Idaho, where his completely misguided and outright ridiculous nonsense will actually be read by some receptive people. Luckily, we still outnumber these muppets.

Re: “Red Out

Liberals are now just as bad as the conservatives they hate. Spewing stereotypical, bigoted, hate speech any time anyone disagrees with their point of view. The drivel above is proof. How hateful you have become.

Re: “Pricking of My thumbs

Well just exactly where are all these techno geniuses from Silicon Valley who have so carefully nurtured their eager young proteges with their capitol and wisdom and now have time to serve their country by running for elective office? By not engaging in the process and therefore not encouraging debate on important issues they are creating the vacuum that the clown car thrives in. How much easier to simply reign as Yachtmasters of the Universe, ensconsed in custom made clown clippers, pausing occasionally to hand out trinkets to the natives, eagerly chanting their mantra, I phone, I cloud, I tune, I, I,I.

Re: “Pricking of My thumbs

Why single out the GOP, you ask? Well, in a two party system - which is what we really have (sorry hopeful independents, libertarians, greens, etc.) there are only two choices, and since the GOP has sauntered out so many 'would be' candidates, they are simply easy targets, especially when they open their idiotic mouths and start speaking!!!!

Re: “Pricking of My thumbs

Why single out the GOP, Rember? Just a hat-tip to the Party Line? Acknowledging the infallibility of the revered Democrat Party?

Those are interesting observations, but I say there's still enough room, if they squeeze, for Queen Pantsuit and Socialist Bernie... and Biden can cling desperately to the back of the car as it putt-putt-putts along - a million laughs!

Try to keep your observations objective... BW already has plenty of Democrat Tools!

Re: “Mr. Cope's Cave: The Proper Way to Flush a Flag

Cope, Roof's father gave him a .45 caliber pistol for his 21st birthday. A gun like that is meant to kill PEOPLE-You can't even hunt deer and sage hens with one. As much as we like our war movies and western revenge sagas here in THE WEST, we cannot forget that. Killing people is old-fashioned. It is passe. It is gauche. It is just plain a bad thing to do. The popularity of American Sniper dumbfounded me. Have we not moved beyond that shit? Clint Eastwood is and always has been a moron. I have had my little rant. Forgive me.
