Re: “Pricking of My thumbs

Why single out the GOP, you ask? Well, in a two party system - which is what we really have (sorry hopeful independents, libertarians, greens, etc.) there are only two choices, and since the GOP has sauntered out so many 'would be' candidates, they are simply easy targets, especially when they open their idiotic mouths and start speaking!!!!

Re: “Pricking of My thumbs

Why single out the GOP, Rember? Just a hat-tip to the Party Line? Acknowledging the infallibility of the revered Democrat Party?

Those are interesting observations, but I say there's still enough room, if they squeeze, for Queen Pantsuit and Socialist Bernie... and Biden can cling desperately to the back of the car as it putt-putt-putts along - a million laughs!

Try to keep your observations objective... BW already has plenty of Democrat Tools!

Re: “Mr. Cope's Cave: The Proper Way to Flush a Flag

Cope, Roof's father gave him a .45 caliber pistol for his 21st birthday. A gun like that is meant to kill PEOPLE-You can't even hunt deer and sage hens with one. As much as we like our war movies and western revenge sagas here in THE WEST, we cannot forget that. Killing people is old-fashioned. It is passe. It is gauche. It is just plain a bad thing to do. The popularity of American Sniper dumbfounded me. Have we not moved beyond that shit? Clint Eastwood is and always has been a moron. I have had my little rant. Forgive me.

Re: “Duggaring Our Own Grave

Have to comment on Cope's book, "Artists Save the Galaxy". I have read about 2/3 of it and it is a great read. Well done Bill! Great insight mixed with great humor. If I am not laughing, I am cry in agreement with the state of affairs we (they) find ourselves (themselves) in. "Night is for Tender, Day is for Divorce."

Re: “Duggaring Our Own Grave

Aren't the Duggars some TV-reality family? And this week's serving of Cold Cope Tripe is a critique of their lifestyle? (I'm not wasting my time by reading it.)

When I was a kid, I had a friend who lived with his grandma. She'd watch the soap operas during the day, and then in the evening she'd call her friend on the phone and they'd discuss what happened that day on the Soaps. We thought it was pretty funny, but I'd say Cope's trajectory is in about the same place.

Well said, Miss!

I think the people that judge, are the ones who work the hardest at 'fitting in.' Aren't willing to let their own inner freak flag fly.

Re: “Property Over People

Zach…..Good call here.

In the U.S., policing forces first originated as Slave Patrols, to surveil and capture runaway slaves, which were the private property of slaveholders…..and were to be returned alive.

With the unfolding of the Industrial Revolution, came an ever increasing amount of wealth concentration in a small number of business owners and their allied administrators, while vast numbers of industrial workers lived in abject poverty.

This naturally and ultimately led to an increasing amount of threats to the private property of the wealthy by the much larger group of people who had little or no wealth. Those living in abject poverty far outnumbered those with wealth.

So, with slavery abolished, the focus of the police patrols became the protection of the private property of the wealthy as well as keeping the wage slaves in their designated apartheid zones (ghettos).

And today the same sort of economic inequality is increasing more each year along with the increase in gated ‘apartheid-like’ developments to keep the rif-raf of have-nots away from the wealthy parasites.

The police patrols of today are not tasked with keeping the ‘wage’ slaves alive, so a couple of shots does the trick……with no protest from the ‘protected’.

Re: “Minerva's Breakdown

Sexual fantasies about Hilliary Clinton... every time I think society has tanked, somebody can drag us down just a bit farther!! No wonder the Muslims hate us!

Ya know those ads for the erectile-dysfunction pills? And they always say if your erection lasts longer than 4 hours, to call a doctor?

Did you ever wonder what the doctor does, to remedy the situation?

Shows the victim a photo of Hilliary! Works 97.4% of the time! (Apparently wouldn't work for Black and Blue Boy, however.)

Re: “Mother Teresa?

Bill: head to the governor's office. He is the one who asked T Luna to bury the problem. She is being rewarded for that loyalty. Butch and Gwartney owe the state all the costs for the high speed school connections debacle . Butch said on 'Idaho Reports' that he does not like to fire anyone. The hiring part is a simple guess.... nepotism.

Re: “Mother Teresa?

Idea for your next article: "Cope answers question: "Why not me?"

I'd be interested in what you come up with. If you determine the answer is, "No good reason," feel free to give me a call.

Nobody's gonna do it for you, but some people are willing to help.

Re: “Mother Teresa?

Bill………Why is it you don’t plead to have one of the ‘real news reporters’ at the Weekly do the investigation?

This would seem to be a no-brainer here, wouldn’t it?

On the other hand the no-brainer here is that the Weekly isn’t actually an alternative news source, but is primarily a source for mainstream news along with stories on various options for local sedation, entertainment and distraction.

Another no-brainer here is why alternative news sources have never been widespread until the internet came along………and that’s because print media relies heavily on advertising to pay its bills and advertising is paid for primarily by businesses, many of which have a vested interest in keeping the public ignorant about a wide spectrum of shady dealings and crony connections.

Particularly crony connections with government, since the majority of those in government, are bought and paid for by the parasites in the Business Class.

Just another no-brainer…….if you’ve been paying attention.

So Bill…..you’re on your own here since this sort of alternative journalism is only going to be allowed in an opinion column like yours, which means you’ve got to do the leg work that others won’t.

Follow The Money………..

Re: “Mother Teresa?

Excellent questions, Mr. Cope. Now what are the chances there are investigative reporters in Idaho who will actually dig? Everything about Ms. Luna's background, including her education, her specialized training, how she got her Department of Administration job, to this just begs for an investigation.
