Re: “UPDATED: More Idaho Politicians Weigh in on Charlottesville Violence

The Russian connection has played out with no results. Soros must now reheat the race war. Everyone with an average IQ or less grab a sign and act really upset that you live the best lives of any minorities anywhere on earth. It's just not fair that whites still live well too! America sucks.

Destroy America. Socialism Now! http://www.reuters.com/article/us-venezuela-animals-idUSKCN1AW2NN

PS: I do agree Trump is a wacko but his name is not Clinton, Bush, Obama, or Sanders, so I'll accept it.

Crapo, Simpson and Risch condemn racism but continue to support their racist leader -- oh the hypocrisy.

Oh BooHoo! Perhaps they should freeload somewhere cooler in the Summer months. I see they have booze and smokes. They cost more than a bus ticket to Seattle.

Re: “Homegrown Boise Neighborhood Protest Results in Homegrown Compromise

Keep in mind if a developer or homeowner comply with existing permitting codes. they are entitled to build. If the City refuses the grant approval, it is liable for taking a property right.

Re: “Homegrown Boise Neighborhood Protest Results in Homegrown Compromise

It's a tough balance. Higher density, but still single family, housing (a.k.a. infill) keeps traffic and long commute air pollution down for all, but has to be balanced with the character of the neighborhood. The city needs to create house size/lot size constraints as well as consider street/garage parking. Builders/developers will need to be flexible and creative to accommodate parking needs while minimizing disturbances to neighbors. Neighbors need to be flexible and understand that landowners have property rights to respect. It sounds like this was a case where all those aspects were met for a compromise solution. We need more middle ground solutions like this - there's no "me" in compromise.

BullCrap at it's deepest point.

No way in hell generic cornflakes are as good as the real thing... why the hell do people think generic drugs are just as good as the real McCoy?

Re: “Cop vs. Cops: The Case of Brandon Eller vs. The Idaho State Police

Referring to Eller by his first name in the story isn't unusual. He's already been introduced by both names. No editor worth her/his salt wants to see certain names and words repeated during a story. Apparently some people need to gripe about something everyday. The story is very balanced. It's also under reported elsewhere in media. Give the Weekly some credit for going where others don't tread.

Re: “Cop vs. Cops: The Case of Brandon Eller vs. The Idaho State Police

I know the Mayor will never give your editor permission, but how about a story on this terrible air quality and why it does not show up when cities are ranked for air quality. (They exclude natural disasters from the air quality.) Did you know the number one killer in Africa is lung cancer from indoor cooking fires? Yep, so it's probably high time we stopped pretending the wild land fire smoke is not harmful.

Re: “To Venezuela, Last Week's Sanctions from the Trump White House Are a Joke

Must be at least 6 or 7 people in Idaho know where this place is. Totally don't give a shit whatsoever as long as they don't start to show up in Miami on rafts. You also failed to notice the Clinton Bush Obama failures to deal with this bunch of machismo dickheads for the last 24 years. Their problems are directly related to socialism, corruption, and the low oil prices. Capitalism tolerates corruption socialism does not.

Re: “Cop vs. Cops: The Case of Brandon Eller vs. The Idaho State Police

This reminds me of the corruption & reprisals that i had to endure for over 14 yrs at a food processing plant in caldwell. I was harassed, suspended, laid off for standing up to management & pointing out unethical practices & violations (food as well as safety), & demoted after refusing to commit fraud. It is apparent that not much has changed at the new plant, after talking w/some who still work there. I wish I could have turned to the appropriate govt. agencies about those violations, but based on prior experience w/the DEQ, who seemed to have a chummy relationship w/some in management, I couldn't trust anyone. "I can't believe that the ISP is going to send a deputy to prison". In other words the attitude is, cops r above the law. If cops want civilians' attitudes toward them to change, then that attitude has to change. No one should b considered above the law, no matter what their rank is, even if they r a pillar of the community. The law should apply to everyone, equally & fairly.
