Re: “CableOne and Turner Kiss and Make-Up: CNN, TBS, TCM, Cartoons Back on the Air

How many customers did they lose to Direct TV in the meantime?

Re: “Bad Reception: The Feud Between CableOne and Turner

Ted Turner is an egotistical maniac and apparently his style has been perpetuated throughout the evil Turner empire. By the way, isn't it a conflict of interest when TNN has (or had) the rights to broadcast MLB when Teddy is the owner of the Atlanta Braves?!?! I for one and glad that Cable One had the balls to tell Ted to F_ _k off. Ted is one of the biggest donors to the UN and is also a proponent of the IMF, CFR, and every other organization that wants to bring this country's constitution and our freedom to it's knees. He is a proponent of de-populating the world and is an arrogant prick that along with the other elitists that he hangs out with believe they have all of the answers for the world . . . because they are rich. What a bunch of arrogant assholes. Way to go Cable One, I'm with you.

Re: “Blue is the Warmest Color: Banned in Boise?

This seems crazy to me! Like it or not some people will like or dislike certain films, the point should be that we have that choice to see it or not. Laws should be updated to match a progressive Nation, not be limited because we live in a red state!

Re: “Bad Reception: The Feud Between CableOne and Turner

What is happening here? Is there any new news on this? And why can't Cable-One put in networks in place of those from Turner? Such as RFDTV, RTV and FamilyNet? I'm not a big fan of CNN, or TBS, I only tune into TNT to watch the reruns of the Big Bang Theory, and used to be the mid season of NASCAR. Beyond that I see no big loss. In part I can see Cable One's point of view, why pay more for less? On that we are paying more to Cable-One,(at least here in Twin Falls) for less. Less channels, so where does it give? I have said for years, Idaho or at least our communities need to push Cable-One to sell out at least in this market to Comcast out of Utah. As part of Comcast there'd be the muscle to stop these network fights. Cable-One had a fight over AMC a few years back.

Re: “Bad Reception: The Feud Between CableOne and Turner

CNN? Seriously? You must have CNN? There is something seriously wrong in this world if there are still people getting there news from CNN. I think we should be thanking CableOne for doing us a favor and removing that garbage know as CNN from our TV sets. M even makes fun of it in the James Bond movie GoldenEye. With that having been said, I do believe that CableOne is being stingy and Turner is wrong for bundling the channels the way it does. If people don't want a channel, why should they have to pay for it?

Re: “Celebration of Altman's Short Cuts

Granted there are a lot of SoCal transplants around here, but I'd have to think there are far better places to ask about filming locations regarding a movie set in L.A. than on an Idaho forum. IMDB for starters.

Re: “Celebration of Altman's Short Cuts

I am trying to find the real locations of two sequences from the movie; Casey's accident and the scene in front of the photo buster, where the Lili Taylor and Buck Henry's characters accidentally get each other photos. Any ideas?

This is ridiculous. Get it figured out and give us a credit in the next few days or I'm gone. Must have my CNN news.

The Hallmark Channel and the Game Show Network should be used in prisons as punishment for misbehavior.

Re: “Bad Reception: The Feud Between CableOne and Turner

CableOne is the Kmart of providers. They have continually cut quality for commercial crap. IFC, Sundance and now TCM are gone from their listings - they recommended their viewers watch AMC in place of TCM. TCM is commercial-free, AMC is full of ads as it can be.

Here in AZ, they yanked the channels and have NOT replaced them with those other channels.

Re: “Blue is the Warmest Color: Banned in Boise?

Thank you, George, and thank you Boise Weekly, for this important piece of reporting that reminds us that--despite the sense of living in a progressive bubble in Boise--censorship exists by design, and through complicity. Do we really need to be drinking wine and beer to watch a movie? If that's what's restricting cultural autonomy, then perhaps it's time for The Flicks to consider that--as progressive as it might seem to offer liquor to their patrons--it would be more progressive to offer true international cinema, instead of booze.

Re: “Bad Reception: The Feud Between CableOne and Turner

We have this problem in Kirksville, MO. Cable one is ripping us off. A 50% increase? Look at ESPN and then look at TBS, TNT, CNN etc. Then bundle them. Really not much of an increase.

I am an viewer of TCM, I am going to research changing companies because of it. Cable one get TCM and other channels back or you will lose business.

Re: “Blue is the Warmest Color: Banned in Boise?

NC-17 is just borderline porn. It's just a rating for hack directors who don't know how to tell a real story, so they use nudity and violence instead. Or more often than not, it present pedophilia (straight or gay) in a harmless light. Good for Boise!!! Boise rocks!!

Re: “Blue is the Warmest Color: Banned in Boise?

Apparently in Boise, the venue for watching lesbian porn while drinking beer will be the historic one... in privacy of your own home, holding your beer in your non-dominant hand. (nudge-nudge, wink-wink)

Re: “Bad Reception: The Feud Between CableOne and Turner

Cableone is one of the most archaic and bullying cable companies still left. In our market they block any and all attempts at letting competition in. They are an absolute horror to deal with. Their reception is actually WORSE than satellite and if it wasn't for them being the only high speed internet in town I would kick them to the curb. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and wish them only the worst.

Re: “Blue is the Warmest Color: Banned in Boise?

Except there are a few Christian films coming soon to Edwards and I see no one complain about them. Certainly no rioting. It's a strange concept, but if I don't want to see something, I don't go see it. I don't prevent others from seeing it if they wish.
