Re: “A New (And Free) Solution to Downtown Boise's Parking Crunch

So ,what do people do between the morning hours and afternoon hours? It appears that this is only for people who work downtown ,why not make the system larger by making more routes into the 'burbs .
And maybe a train route from Caldwell to Boise ,then expand bus routes ,not everyone lives in the downtown area.

Even Utah doesn't have this kind of stupid law.

Re: “A New (And Free) Solution to Downtown Boise's Parking Crunch

The problem for me is safety. The garages are not safe. There are no attendees even around the place that I pay. Park and ride is not going to be any better.

Re: “End of the Line for Grapevine in Boise's North End

Dear Boise Weekly Editor and Staff,

The Grapevine, Inc. is now focused on the purchase of the building and recently met with Mayor Bieter to discuss what we have always viewed as our second in a sequence of three preferred options. The Mayor acknowledged and expressed appreciation for our desire to purchase, repair, and restore our historic home, and to continue to serve the neighborhood with a broad array of 12-Step recovery meetings.

Although one door has closed, another has opened. With the purchase of the building for the minimum bid of $50,000 we will continue to . . . work together to continue the tradition of Fire Station No. 2 by saving lives whether we are fire fighters long gone, persons in recovery, or their families. Generous donors during the Idaho Gives campaign gifted us over $12,000 for this purpose. This, in combination with grant monies we have applied for, and our dedicated cash in the bank brings us to the minimum bid for the building.

Re: “UPDATE: Boise Foothills Flap Surfaces in Idaho Supreme Court

This is an absolute horrible idea. So many of us enjoy it up there and there is a ton of wildlife habitat. I see a lot of beds up there on morning hikes. Aren't they destroying enough already along the river and Harris Ranch? There are already enough huge, obnoxious houses being built around the corner! That's going to destroy that area.

Re: “Greater Boise Auditorium District Election May Be Its Most Critical

Thank you very much. I am puzzled, and will continue to pay attention.

Why puzzled?

"Muchow has mobilized a full-on campaign effort: mailers, door-to-door canvassing, yard signs, fundraisers, speaking engagements, and she even hired a campaign consultant and manager."

Answers to your three questions:
1. $5.00/month ($60/year).
2. No.
3. Independent auditor.

Re: “Greater Boise Auditorium District Election May Be Its Most Critical

I have been asking these questions for 5 years:

1. How much are GBAD directors paid?
2. Are GBAD directors allowed to participate in PERSI?
3. Who is responsible for auditing the books at GBAD?

We can not know how to determine GBAD performance without this information.

How about it BW, or any other entity interested in the public good?

Re: “UPDATE: Boise Foothills Flap Surfaces in Idaho Supreme Court

Anyone ever hear of scenic corridors? They are being destroyed in Boise. A big part of what makes Boise 'Livable' is fast disappearing. That open area anchors the central foothills. Without it the area is just another over developed tract.

Re: “The Lingering Stink

I met Obama, He stinks way more than Trump. You will find Obama and the wife are more stinky than you could ever guess in the coming years. I didn't like either Bush. Reagan gave me jellybeans about the same moment he was waxing some Iranians.

You are having a tizzy fit because you lost. Suck it up. How Trump got elected is the country got tired of trash and whining such as you wrote here. Example, my 5th grader came home with school district approved materials which are basically gay recruitment materials.

That is how Trump won. People finally smelled the Obama and flushed twice. Enough people pulled their heads out for the first time in a long time. Hoping our government will now focus on what it should focus on and have mass layoffs and closures of all the fluffy departments added since Nixon.

Re: “"Dude, Don't U ever tell..."

The term "dude" fails to recognize that the crowd/audience may not be all male. Another example that many male gendered catchall phrases are obsolete.

Re: “UPDATE: Labrador Files Paperwork to Run for Idaho Governor

When we had to look at "Dumb" George W for 8 years, we thought it couldn't get any worse. Now we have to deal with "Dumber" Trump. Who knew America could stoop even lower?? Now, Idaho. We have been stuck with Butch, which seems like an eternity.....and now we might get Labrador?? Dumb, Dumber, & Dumbest. I can't even.........

Re: “How One Major Internet Company Helps Serve Up Hate on the Web

The most Nazi-like people in America elected Obama and tried to elect Hillary. Many of them work for Universities. I too dislike the hate groups. I suggest the liberals turn against hate groups like MS13. As it is now you are paying for food and rent for MS13 baby moms with all free welfare stuff.

Re: “City of Boise Begins Crafting Cultural Master Plan

Boise needs more violent crime and random violence on innocents before it can claim to have an American metropolitan culture. What can we do to enhance these shortcomings? Perhaps import the people with these cultural tendencies? Perhaps change our safety net of free stuff to focus it more on people who never contribute and always sponge?
