Re: “'How Can You Work...For a President Who Undermines Your Work?'

I voted for the termination of the Clinton Bush Obama organized crime family. That resulted in this asshole being elected. The GOP can and should impeach him if the retired Marine General can't cause him to behave.

The world is a very dangerous place. Trump is focused on reporters who insult him rather than dangerous situations that need constant calm intelligent and skilled interdiction.

I think the core problem Trump has is he is such an irrational unpredictable raging asshole that nobody of quality wants to be associated with him.

Re: “Solarize the Valley Alt-Energy Program Deadline Extended by Two Weeks

Idaho Power seeks changes for solar customers

Associated Press

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Idaho Power officials are asking state regulators for permission to make big changes to how solar customers pay for their power.

The utility company announced Thursday it wants to create a new class of customers for homeowners and small businesses using renewable energy. Their request is now pending before the Idaho Public Utilities Commission.

At issue is a practice called "net metering," which mandates that homeowners and small business owners who install solar panels be compensated for any surplus energy they feed back onto the grid.

Idaho Power officials argue the current system wasn't designed for homeowners who installed their own solar panel and warn traditional power customers are shouldering the extra costs.

However, solar panel advocates counter that Idaho Power's request will create a second-class of customers who will likely face hefty fees.

Re: “Boise Ordinance Dials Down Muffler Noise

I havent see any enforcement whatsoever. 8PM on a Saturday night and the cars are screaming, without a cop in sight, downtown. Will this be enforced the same way? if so, then it's pointless.

Re: “Boise Ordinance Dials Down Muffler Noise

Disturbing, excessive or offensive motor vehicle noise, smoke, or exhaust interferes with a person's right to enjoy life and property," reads the ordinance, which goes on to state its purpose as promoting "the public health, comfort, and convenience of the City's inhabitants and its visitors."
With that being said wouldn't that infringe on a person's right to enjoy life and their property. That is how some people get enjoyment in their life even if their vehicle and or motorcycle is a little on the loud side even from the factory. No matter what laws are passed there will always be people that are offended in some shape or form let's stop the government from putting more rules and regulations on a place where we call the land of the free

Re: “Dry Creek, Dry Purse

["They disagreed with us and they beat us up pretty bad, and quite frankly, I don't see where I'm going to support spending county taxpayer dollars on an organization that doesn't support the county," said Commissioner Jim Tibbs during a June 19 budget hearing.]
What he meant to say was that he was angry and lashed out at whomever he could to try to influence and silence the voice that made him feel small.
From adaswcd.org: "Conservation districts were organized nationwide as part of the soil conservation movement of the 1930s and 40s in response to the Dust Bowl ecological disaster. We are one of fifty conservation districts in Idaho tasked with leading efforts to conserve, sustain, and enhance Idahos private and state lands." Visit their site and see for yourself all the things they do to "SUPPORT THE COUNTY", contrary to Tibbs' little opinion. I'd put them up against his own accomplishments any day.

Re: “Dry Creek, Dry Purse

Not only are the commissioners short-sighted, but they have demonstrated yet again, that they're petty, little, sensitive tyrants who will threaten the employer of any person who dares speak out against their oh-so-wise judgments. This is not the first time they've pulled a stunt like this, and it doesn't surprise me at all, given how weak-minded and ego-sensitive they have proven to be. Face it, they're not always right. Their decision was contentious. Many disagreed with it. They could have chosen otherwise, but... as always, sided with big development instead of conservation. Is it any surprise to anyone? So what if Tibbs got his little feelings hurt. Get over it. You made your decision. Live with it. Don't be so petty as to threaten funding to a county conservation district. They do more to actually support "the county" than this group of nitwits called commissioners does... unless you're a real estate developer.

Would be great to target Fri/Sat cruise & street racing. Detriment to downtown business, tax base, and property values. Chase 'em back to 2C.

Re: “F-35s in Boise? 'We Don't Know What We Don't Know'

This is typical of the ignorance and complacency of Boise. Never mind the people or quality of life. Create a hazard in the air and an ugly carbon footprint so some defense contractor can get corporate welfare.

Boise loves pollution. They shut down streets at every opportunity so we have to drive out of our way, stop and idle, polluting the air and wasting gas so the lastest crowd of walkers, joggers, bikers, or whatever can monopolize downtown.

Rip up the foothills and build McMansions everywhere, but make sure traffic is snarled so pollution (always bad in Boise) is even worse. Make sure we waste gas sitting there, engines running, in the heat.. road rage results... it is ugly.

Boise does not care.

Boise City's motto must be, If you get there on time, it's not our fault.

What a smug, unresponsive bunch they are, hiding behind their affluent, smug friends.

Re: “Snowpocalypse to Floodpocalypse

We'll see what happens this coming winter as there will be an above average carry over in the lakes into next spring. Another wet winter and we'll be right back into another crisis. It will take a major flood to get the govt to pay for another dam, so until that happens it will be too much or too little water in the lakes.
