Re: “New York Times Chronicles Rising Tide of Homeless Encampments in Western U.S.

Very sad to know about such condition of homeless people. Problems like poverty can lead to the homeless. Thus, it is essential to help the homeless people. One of my friends is associated with the NGO, so he suggested me to read this and join the organization, where they work for the social welfare of the people.

Re: “32nd Annual Nampa Festival of the Arts

On all the sites that talk about it not a single one mentions anything about dogs so I figured since it was in a park dogs would be allowed but they are not even though every other Art Festival in the valley allows them. Why you would host something in a parked and not allow dogs I do not know but I was able to see only very little because I drove there with my dog right after work just to have to drive right back home to take my dog home leaving me only 15 minutes to look. If they just put that dogs were not aloud online I would not be mad.

Re: “ONE Soul Expo (ONE World Spiritual Expo)

Complete disaster. Abby was late each morning. Did not coordinate events, Marketing or staff. The supposed class schedule was constantly changed every 30 mins, which made it impossible to attend the classes and workshops. She overcharged for ticket prices, which limited the amount of foot traffic at the event, leading to disgruntled vendors. The way Abby overcharged and treated her vendors was appauling. Many customers voiced frustration at the quality of the event. I highly recommend avoiding any of her events again!

Re: “The Long and Winding Road to Success at Allumbaugh House

I have to disagree with the previous post ^^^
I am a certified Addiction Counselor. I have seen a fair share of addiction cases that are homeless individuals but I have also seen a homeless population which are just "down on their luck" with no mental health or addiction issues. Let's NOT call it what you call it "A MENTAL HEALTH ISSUE". Not every addict is suffering from anxiety or depression or is bi-polar nor schizophrenic. The majority are suffering from a DISEASE. A disease that may (or may not) be genetic. Some addicts are a product of their environment, they grew up in a drug culture, as their parents did being baby boomers of the free-love free-drug era of the 60's. LET'S CALL IT WHAT IT IS: TODAY'S EPIDEMIC. And we need to stop criminalizing the addict with jails and prisons. There is NO rehabilitation while incarcerated. Let's offer help and hope instead! Addicts can recover and regain their standing in society and become taxpaying, productive citizens again. I know, because I'm one of the many who are living proof! Good work Allumbaugh House. We need more places for an addict to recover long-term.

Re: “John McGee, Who Left Idaho Senate Following Sex Scandal, Emerges as New VP of Development for Boise Rescue Mission

Boise rescue missions in Boise and Nampa are staffed with sexual deviates. Even ones that are married. I stayed at both of them. In Nampa they molested a Autistic boy in their care, (staff). !9 yrs old. This young man cried in my arms for 45 minutes. I made him call the Nampa police but there was nothing they could do because they cleaned him out. (Douched). These are some wicked people behind the scenes but to the eyes of the public they portrait themselves as Saints. NOT.

Re: “Frank Church Conference Focuses Lens on Refugee Crisis in the Era of Trump

Those who came to this land before which belonged to the Tribal people due to starvation and lack of resources to support themselves or their families. Are now the haters of people of whom they once belonged.

Have you no empathy, or did you forget that you too fled from the lands of your ancestors and passed your neighboring countries to come to this lands? These people will once hire you or you grandchildren. Think positive and the good book requires to do so.
