Re: “Jury Awards $1.5 Million to Detective in ISP Whistleblower Trial

A very similar story to the nurse getting arrested in SLC in July. The part of the SLC story they are not talking about is why did the police so desperately need a blood sample? Because the police pressed a vehicle chase so hard they put the general public at risk and caused an accident. They needed a way to blame the burn injury patient for his burns. They wanted to show he was on drugs. Never mind he was loaded with morphine from being in the burn unit. The police would have taken that sample and written him a DUI ticket. The Utah police are well known for writing DUI tickets to sober people with a limp. The police should not be allowed to handle evidence anymore because the police have a track record of falsifying evidence such as exposed in this ISP case and many many others caught on video across the country. The biggest danger to American's liberty today is the police. Don't get too excited about this case. A higher court full of insider appointees with skeletons in the closet with reduce or overturn the lower court? I think the finding of the rancher shooting in Council need to be reexamined and likely many other ISP investigations.

Why didn't the lifestyle publications factor in this terrible air quality when giving Boise super high quality of life ratings? Been hiding in the house all week. Then just as soon as the forest fires burn out the winter inversion happens.

These are productive young adults who have lived in this country their entire lives. This policy reversal is fueled entirely by white cultural concerns. Congressman Steve King put it succinctly:

"Culture and demographics are our destiny. We can't restore our civilization with somebody else's babies.

It's too bad his daddy didn't pull out, or his mamma abort him. Way too many POS get more than one chance to harm society.

Re: “Will Trump Kill the DACA Dream?

Nice boohoo story but I'm way past giving a shit. Trump got elected because so many people are tired of boohoo stories about everyone except the core American's who are footing the bill for all this liberal drivel. Do you realize there are white kids with a high school 4.0 going to BSU and UI and ISU because they can't get accepted to the ethnically cleansed socially engineered State University a mile from their California homes?

It was ethically and morally wrong of Obama and friends to push the dreamer law up the nation's rear. I'm so happy someone is willing to rip it up. Mexico and all the other Latin American countries are in dire need of upstanding citizens to overthrow the communism, crime, and corruption. These folks can go back and fix their country so we would need a way anymore.

All that said GOP wants to be able to exploit the cheap labor markets caused by illegals and is not about to let Trump win.

These idiots need to do their homework before shouting and harassing politicians that are in reality on the same team. Or it was just a PR stunt to get media exposure??

your in prison. Eat or don't eat what you are served. No kosher, vegan, ramadan, halal etc. meals. When you get out, live as you please. When in the prison, take what you are served.

Re: “The Long and Winding Road to Success at Allumbaugh House

Ya gotta stop calling it 'homeless'. These people could be given a new home with all monthly expenses paid and they would still trash the house and live with their druggy friends down in the park. Eliminate the 'homeless' label and call it what it is. This is a mental illness problem, not a housing problem. Addiction is almost always a result of self medicating for anxiety. The prison population too is about 80% mental illness leading to crime.
The story touched on the turf battle. Lots of money to be extracted from society related to convictions and sentencing. Some advanced countries do not criminalize addiction with better recovery results. Allows the police more time to fight crime too.
Good job, only two or three writers at the Stalesman who produce good work like this.

What a great article and resource for people. But 6 days? Ok. That's a detox. Where do people in Idaho go that don't have health insurance go for longer term treatment?

Re: “U.S. Immigration Agency Will Lose Millions Because It Can't Process Visas Fast Enough

I was not aware about this. To solve this, there is a need to process Visas fast. I have no idea about immigration, immigration laws and issues related to it. Few days back, one of my friends had some immigration related query, so he contacted the lawyer Bechara Tarabay from http://www.pagesjaunes.fr/pros/05241146. Many issues get sorted if we are aware about immigration and its related details.

Re: “The Long and Winding Road to Success at Allumbaugh House

I am a Drug & Alcohol Counselor and a taxpayer. Allumbaugh House, keep up the good work treating addiction, helping those who are asking for help and willing to put in effort, and saving taxpayers money. It sounds to me like win-win for the taxpayer and the addict who wants recovery. And the win-win is facilitated by the Allumbaugh House. Thank you!!

Re: “Trump Re-establishes Military Hardware Pipeline That Armored Boise Police

Police budgets are typically 30% to 50% of total municipal budget. These big military toys might be free donations but most military surplus needs expensive modifications and maintenance to make it useful to the police. A set of brakes and tires for an MRAP cost as much as a new patrol car. So even though your police department has a big woody in hopes of getting some free stuff, it's often much cheaper to say 'no thanks'. Buying police specific equipment that interfaces with current equipment and training is cheaper. The antifata can be crushed with currently available off the shelf police equipment.

Older style MRAP vehicles (pictured) are something the military wants to unload because they are dangerously top heavy and often rollover when driven on pavement. They are not even able to donate these budget busters to friendly countries so they will donate to police. It's like giving your gimpy old mule to the neighbor so you don't have to feed it anymore. They should be pushed into the shredder to save the country money.

Re: “Child Turned Away From West Ada School Over Vaccinations

What are your credentials please? Educating. Researching. Writing. Coaching. What kind of doctor are you? I learned about farming from being a farmer. Your way is not capable of feeding the world as farming does now. Mao had a big idea like that once. Stalin did too. China starved tens of millions. USSR bough grain from our USA farms all during the cold war until they were allowed to import John Deere tractors and feed themselves. Idealism goes splat when it meets the reality of the magnitude of the production needed.

Re: “Child Turned Away From West Ada School Over Vaccinations

This entire thing is a PR stunt by the anti-vaccine crowd. They call themselves christian conservatives but let the rest of us pay for their kid's welfare and insurance benefits. Very disappointing the BW fell for it.
