Re: “Cold Shoulder: Idaho Legislature Committee Censors Climate Change

Republicans love to keep their base uneducated and ignorant, this is just another vile example of that.
If climate change is a "hoax" why does the Pentagon see it as such a threat?

ID is already a flyover state with an economy run on potatoes. Way to keep the rest of the union believing there are nothing but hicks here and its future generations will stay that way.

Bullcrap corporate statements vs. the reality of what they have done but don't want to take responsibility for. One of many many examples in links below (3M groundwater problem). This company bangs the global warming drum as a distraction from their reality. Many many other companies with super good PR babes pumping out the good vibes. Makes you feel like you are helping the planet when using their chemicals.

Because religion isn't "stupid shit."

Listen here, the best thing about Idaho is we ain't educated or knowledgeable about them things. You keep your facts in California and leave education to the bishops.

Re: “Cold Shoulder: Idaho Legislature Committee Censors Climate Change

The true aim of the AlGore global warming scam is to eliminate the middle-class as we know it. Sure they need our labor but they see our lifestyles as waste. It's money they could turn to profits for themselves.

Who are they? The Globalist elitists. Their global goal is a two-class society with 99% enslaved or nearly so, and themselves enjoying the fruit of our labor. This is pretty much what China is now.

Oddly enough a huge majority of Chinese people are proud of the nation that enslaves them. That is the power of early education. What are the globalist teaching your kids in your school system?

Re: “Cold Shoulder: Idaho Legislature Committee Censors Climate Change

Before humans were even on the planet the climate of the earth had many wild swings. Drive down to Swan Falls road and look at the climate history documented by the canyon walls. The Earth is alive and constantly changing. In ~4 billion years our galaxy will merge with Andromeda galaxy. If Earth survives that event, it is not likely to survive the Sun going super nova in ~8 billion years.

Human kind will most likely be self limiting by war, famine, disease, and toxic pollution. Earth will be doing just fine long after we are gone.

Suggest all spend some time looking up who the worst polluters are. Hint, they give AlGore a lot of money to pick on America.

Re: “Cold Shoulder: Idaho Legislature Committee Censors Climate Change

Benj Global Warming is a new religion for those living such a cushy life here in America such that they no longer believe in God. Typically people with more difficult lives believe in God. Absent belief in God people develop religious faith in stupid shit like AlGore or Obama or a football team. Ask any PhD of sociology. All humans hold religious beliefs in something, even if something totally whacked. The media outlets which originally posted the hockey stick graphs have gone on to also publish articles pointing to the fraud of it all. It's just an excuse for a new taxes. It's an excuse to charge huge profits on energy consumption. It's doing nothing for the real pollution problems like plastics in the ocean. I would also like to point out the socialist countries of the world are also some of the worst polluters. My gosh look at the crap the USSR and China has done in the past 100 years. Tearing down America will not solve the problem.

Re: “Cold Shoulder: Idaho Legislature Committee Censors Climate Change

The Pentagon says human-caused climate change is a major existential (their word) threat to national security; so does NATO Command; so does the National Academy of Sciences; so do every geophysical academy and organization in the world except one--- more than 700, and they all agree.

Re: “Trash Talk: A Tale of Two Cities

China does not want a lot of the lower grades of plastics thus the recent change in Ada recycling. But Boise says they are different. Really? What could a tiny blip of a recycling market like Boise do with it's plastics that China don't want?? Probably dump them in the landfill but charge you for the recycling service anyway? I don't know, but it seems plausible. Maybe some greenies should look into it.

Re: “Cold Shoulder: Idaho Legislature Committee Censors Climate Change

Climate change was alarming about terrible 12 month/year winters in the early 70s, followed by AlGore and his hype about overheating in the 00s.

Long story short. We do indeed have a tremendous pollution problem causing air and water pollution. The concept that we are changing our temperature is fictitious. It's all been manipulated to become an additional tax based on bullcrap.

Meanwhile the actual tangible pollution problem of plastics and chemicals continues to grow unabated by the greedy tax collectors selling carbon credits... many of whom own stock in the offending industries.

It's one of the largest scams in the history of the world.

Re: “Child Turned Away From West Ada School Over Vaccinations

What I said re: Scarlet Fever and Typhoid Fever stands. My point was that these were wiped out without widespread attempts to reduce disease including vaccines AND antibiotics (which weren't invented until after the epidemic). Sorry I forgot to include that information. I constantly research and post information. I'm human and I neglected to include that here. I'd love an adult discussion where folks are rational and consider reading the research and that what they have been taught may be incorrect instead of constant defensiveness & ad hominem attacks w/name-calling. I don't use those strategies in my interactions, and I expect others to grant me that courtesy, whether you agree or not.

It's amazing what happens when sanitation, nutrition, refrigeration, electricity and closed plumbing systems are employed to reduce disease numbers. That has had the biggest impact on disease decline than vaccines. Please read the links and don't discount them because you have some bias toward Western Medicine. Western Medicine now is responsible for being in the Top 3 causes of medical errors and death, according to Johns Hopkins. So, clearly not infallible nor a "gold standard":

Just appalling. We have abandoned our schools and our kids. I remember when the public school system was well funded and things ran just fine. Some things should never be for profit!

Re: “Reel Foods Fish Market Closing Jan. 31, New Location Still TBA

Doesnt Boise have a small business development department to help businesses like this? Without Reel Foods in the dowtown there will be no fish market. The displacement of a core business like this os a real loss for the city.

Republicans keep insisting we don't have any such problem. Everything in Idaho is hunky dory with its lowball educational approach. What could possibly go wrong.

Re: “Lisa Sanchez

I didn't vote for Ms. Sanchez - I voted for another non-incumbent, however. I congratulate her on her win, and hope she's a very successful member of the City Council!

I also hope she understands that people OTHER THAN the poor make up this community. There is a large contingent of middle class tax-paying Boise citizens who feel they have been ignored for years by our local elected "representatives." The mayor and Council have a reputation for focusing on, and catering to the needs of, downtown, and the north and east end. Us southerners and westerners get the table scraps. I'm hoping Ms. Sanchez will keep the rest of us in mind, as she deliberates and votes.
