Wikigod from the Google Searching for God installation, typewriter embossed paper, wood, and fluorescent lights, 2009, 5' x 30' x 1'

"Wikigod is the physical transcription of the hypertext source for Wikipedia's definition of God. A hand-embossed scroll, using a typewriter containing no ink, is presented atop a long, narrow table. The scroll is currently 30 feet in length but will be nearly 60 feet long upon completion. The table is modular and can be adjusted to fit the space in which the piece is presented. Every time the word "God" appears in the coding, the text is illuminated from below."

The ribbon has a temporal quality; there is a sense of uniqueness; knowing that it is only temporary. Once people notice that the ash will blow away, they pause. It slow us down and reminds us."</i></i>

<i><i>"These sleeper decoys were carved to resemble sleeping or resting birds. Some decoys, whether by sex or by species, have been made to appear more realistic or detailed than others. The degree to which realism might be necessary for effective function cannot be measured. In the absence of empirical data, this level of representation could follow either custom or visual preference. Mimetic efficiency, that is, maximizing resemblance while minimizing investment, seems to be a good compromise."</i></i>
