  • Showin' Us The Money

As the PR spin of Alternate Energy Holdings continues to enthrall Idahoans, we love watching the "facts" come rolling out.

As reported by the Idaho Statesman, AEH now says they've got cash promised them by Silverleaf Capital, a Salt Lake City venture firm.

  • GQ: Best Game of the Year

GQ Magazine, that upscale version of Maxim, has decided that the Boise State Fiesta Bowl game was the "best game of the year."

The tiny writeup in the December issue, with that photo of Ian Johnson proposing to Krissy, runs down the usual stuff. David and Goliath blah blah, hook-and-lateral blah blah, proposal on sidelines blah blah. You get the picture.

"It was the cumulative realization of every college-sports cliche we've ever hated, but damn was it glorious," they wrote.

    Mmmkay, are we done now?

  • NYT Crossword: Oops

Oh dear. Crossword puzzle fans, we apologize.

We recognize (now) that the headline for this week's New York Times crossword is old news.

Please note: the correct puzzle title for this week is:

TWO OUT OF THREE By Trip Payne and Edited by Will Shortz

Please continue with your puzzling, with our heartfelt apologies. Those people threatening to take the editor ACROSS the street and put his butt DOWN in the gutter, please settle down.

  • Jaquet Backs Obama

Idaho might be a dyed-in-the-wool red state, but that hasn’t stopped some national Democratic Party presidential players from picking up some support.

House Minority Leader Wendy Jaquet, D-Ketchum, has officially backed Sen. Barack Obama, according to the Web site RedStateRebels.net.
