    Get well soon Wilma Mankiller.

    Mankiller, the first woman chief of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, was forced to cancel her scheduled appearance at the Fifth First Nations Conference this week at Boise State due to illness.

    This just in from the Central District Health Department: If you've eaten at Red Feather Lounge between March 5 and March 17, check your health. The restaurant was flagged for possible contamination with Hepatitis A.

    It seems Speaker of the House Lawerence Denney thinks the media isn't being properly patriotic.

    The Republican from Midvale sent a letter to the Capitol Press Corps admonishing the reporters covering the current legislative session for not audibly participating in the Pledge of Allegiance.

  • Hep A At Red Feather, or, Why The Editor Needs A Shot

    Great. This is how my editorship of the BW will end? With me a victim of Hepatitis A?

    Dave Fotsch from the Central District Health Department assures me it will not. (Fotsch is not a doctor.)

    But, there it is: if the guy who had Hep A handled my gin and tonic that night at the Red Feather, well, it's off to the vaccination clinic for me.
