Re: “The Lingering Stink

More pig-ignorant bile from the once and future Cope. The world was a better place without his steaming piles of hatred. What happened?

Re: “Red's Good Idea

Someday, America will get it together and her people will just be folks again. Maybe it will take another revolution to get there - god, I hope it doesn't - but somehow we need to get past the tired, three-eyed progressivism expressed by hacks like Cope.

I lived in Zimbabwe during the first eight years of Mugabe, and Cope's weekly crankery sounds the same as ol' Bobby No-Nuts: a "progressive" one-party political culture, "universal" this and that, criminal fiscal irresponsibility, government-approved correct thinking, and a society completely divided by every -ism imaginable.

What the hippies don't seem to understand is that they are now the Establishment, their establishment sucks, and the rest of us are getting very tired of what they have established.

Re: “Just Kidding

Dear Mr. Cope:

I think I heard you say that only progressives know the truth that all set us free. Progressives are 100% correct on every issue known to humanity. It is a tragic waste of precious resources, such as oxygen, to let a non-progressive even breath. Only Progressives understand real humor.

But Progressives believe in diversity (don't they?) and tolerance (don't they?), so I am confused. You seem to spend a lot of time hating on people who might differ with you on points of politics. Would diversity of opinion and viewpoint be a good thing, in the very unlikely event that we Progressives got something a little wrong? Remember how the Democrats (aka Progressives) got the slavery thing wrong?

Maybe it would be a good thing to shut our damn big mouths and just listen once in a while to a diversity of opinions.

Re: “23

All the tapes erased? All the files burned? How did you get that information? On the internet? Oh. At first, I thought you really knew something.

Re: “Remember ... We Won

Cope: The running dogs of capitalism and their toadies were defeated by the proletariat and now must be made to feel the sting of their crushing and historic defeat. Do not pull punches on these wreckers and enemies of the people. Crush their poisoned opinions! Gouge out their eyes! Rip out their tongues! Force them into re-education camps. If they resist, punish them harshly. Intern them in stinking North Dakota work camps! A tiny minority must not be permitted to hold back the progress of the masses. (At least this is what it sounds like you were trying to say.)

Re: “Cope Pushes Papers

Does anyone know how I can get a copy of this article in English?

Re: “Grin and Barrett

Cope - You are a fountain of truth and wisdom and you hit the nail on the head, again. Whenever I look for wisdom in how to protect and sustain this beautiful world, I always turn Left. The bold, courageous, and forward thinking Leftist and Socialist governments during the last 100 years are truly the hope of humankind. Tears come to my eyes when I think of the perfectly preserved forests and steppes of the Great Soviet Motherland and Eastern Europe, the environmentally sustainable progress made by German National Socialists before American imperialism intervened, and in our own era, the incomparably earth-friendly leadership of Robert Mugabe in modern socialist Zimbabwe and Kim Jung Il in the North Korean Peoples’ Republic. If I mentioned the Cuban paradise and Hugo’s Venezuela, I’d just be gushing. Why can’t these idiot wingnuts admit their errors and learn from the wise and compassionate truth we on the left have to offer?
