Re: “UPDATE: No Charges in Gun Show Shooting Incident

There should be charges, even when the loaded gun was an accident. Most car accidents result in charges. This is even more likely to be a deadly situation with a loaded gun than a fender-bender and someone was hurt.
And you conspiracy theorists should go soak your heads. An anti-gun person is never going to load a gun and shoot it in a public place to prove a point. Duh.

Re: “Seat 4 Candidates Refocus on Issues

Give me a break. A child from a previous relationship is personal. Bankruptcy is not.
Litster's claims to be a fiscal conservative aren't supported by his actions.

Re: “Litster Calls for Streetcar Vote, Thomson Calls for Calm

That's why we need Thomson on the city council. He isn't a reactionary quick to spend a lot of money just to stir things up. He is involved in the process of sorting out the facts and letting the city make informed decisions.

Re: “Tea Party Inspired by Racial Fears

I am the person carrying the "I respect the presidency" sign. Growing up in the 1950's I learned--and still believe--the person duly elected to be our president deserves respect, not because they have earned it by their accomplishments, but because of the duty bestowed on him/her. In no way does that mean I agree with everything he does or says. My job as a citizen, campaign volunteer and voter is never to be a blind follower, but an attentive constituent ready to speak up. It also means I respect him enough to listen when he speaks to the country and to our school children. It is a response to the blast of "You Lie!" during a speech before Congress and the nation. The leader of our country should be given every opportunity to fulfill their mission of serving out their term with our support and respectful feedback.

Re: “The Return of the Festival

We always planned our summers around the River Festival so we could be here for our favorite events--the bands, the fireworks, the hot air balloons, etc. It was fun and made us proud of Boise.
Good luck with this, Brett! I'm excited to see what events and dates you come up with so we can mark our calendar.
