Re: “Gino's Italian Ristorante

Love Love Love the new place! Albeit a few extra blocks, but, I hated parking down town anyway. Now... just park and enjoy! I hope it works as well for this hard working imigrant( like many of our forefathers) as it works so well for my hubby and I.

But, as I say " It's all about the food! And people, the food is sooo good. I love not having to explain "al 'dente" (ok maybe i dont spell it right, but i know it when i taste it) to the staff. Gino always replaces my winter blues with warm, perfectly cooked Italian mamma food. With so few choices for real food, i'm more and more thankfull to have this luxury.

Re: “Le Coq Rouge

Hey, Ditzski, maybe it was the Polish Interpol and they didn't know they have to dial a 1 before the number. LMAO

Or maybe they were like me and just didn't want to go to the Mall.

Anyway, on a more relevant topic. THE FOOD, I just went to dinner there again last night. My husband ordered the Lamb Shank, (I dont even like lamb but I couldn't resist tasting). The meat just fell off the bone with a fork and the sauce again was out of this world. I had a salade de Perigord to start which basically was green salad with duck breast(yummy), fois gras, and some meat spead that I never had before. Rillette? Really good. For my main course, I know I should try something new, but I couldn't help myself and ordered those fabulous scallops over the Mango sauced pasta. Pasta as good or better than Gino's(love that guy too) and alot closer for us.

This time there were 2 singers, the usual Sinatra guy and another more Marvin Gaye type. Even the chef came out and sang. He really is talented. I've eaten in great restaurants all over the world and I don't care where this guy came from, I've never seen anyone put the whole package together so well. Everything was so good. We spent about 150 bucks(including wine and tip) and worth every penny.
