Re: “Flying M Sold to New Owner

Well it has been about three years since Kent wasn't going to change anything and all the old tables and chairs and the old comfy couch are gone replaced by cheep furniture and glitter sparked tables with aluminum chairs and the refill coffee pots are gone because Kent is afraid someone is going to steel an extra refill from him so now every one has to stand in line to get a refill and the line jambs up to the door on most mornings and when the secondary espresso machine breaks down Kent closes the second cash register because he thinks he cannot afford to pay someone to sell pastries and drip coffee and tea with out the espresso cash cow. The line literally extends out onto the sidewalk in front of the M and Kent doesn't like any music except Dona Summers and all that techno music that you typically here in a gay bar atmosphere so gone are the Beatles music or Johny Cash or Neal Diamond or Moody blues or Billy Holiday or Frank Sinatra or any one else that might indicate that Kent has any idea what diversity means or that he understands that he is there to serve the customer not visa verse. The difference between and entrepreneur and a business owner is that an entrepreneur takes the risk to start something new with a vision on a wing and a prayer. They build something successful if they have gambled correctly and paid the price in blood , sweat and tears. A business owner is someone who buys someone else's business because they don't typically have the vision or the intestinal fortitude to start there own. They often don't know a thing about being of service to people or understand the vision of the people who started the business and consequently start to make stupid decisions based on ego and ignorance that ofttimes ultimately end in the failure of that business. Kent gets a d- from me on what he was not going to due to the M when he bought it. Oh and I almost forgot we have disco ball hanging from the ceiling now. YUP... and Kent gets really upset if anyone makes suggestions on improvement to the situation. Not much else I can add I guess. Its just sad really sad. I rue the day.
