Re: “UPDATE: Ketchum Approves Ordinance Giving Police Authority to Enter Vehicles, Rescue Overheated Pets

Criteria for determining if probably cause exists to rescue a dog left in a hot car?
If it's 70 degrees outside, in 10 min. it can be 89 degrees in the car and in 30 min. it can be 104 degrees in the car. 80 degrees outside = 99 in 10 min. and 114 in 30 min. 90 degrees outside = 109 in 10 min. and 124 in 30 min. 95 degrees outside = 114 in 10 min. and 129 in 30 min. Leaving the windows open has little effect on how hot it is inside the car.
I don't think it should be that difficult to figure out. If it's summer in Idaho, then it's too hot to leave your pets, children or elderly people in a car.

OMG, why don't they migrate to Alaska instead?

Re: “Labrador on 9th Circuit Ruling: Unelected Judges Shouldn't Trump 'The Will of the People'

I'm confused, are the "unelected judges" Labrador is so opposed to the Ninth Circuit or the U.S. Supreme Court? Aren't the justices for both those courts appointed, not elected?

Re: “Idaho Students Are Behind Historic Anti-Circus Animal Law

Can we have these kids tackle repealing the Ag-Gag law next please? Maybe they'll have better luck getting our Governor and Legislature to outlaw animal cruelty for profit.

Re: “Flatbread Neapolitan Pizzeria

The food is still fabulous, but now the parking makes enjoying Flatbread unbearable for lunch. Note to self -- don't try and drive there at noon ever again. My experience was the Eastman parking garage (automated) was full but you didn't know that until after you pulled into the garage and drove all the way to the top and then I had to perform a 7-point turn around between parked cars/trucks and a cement wall and then dodge all the other poor suckers coming into the garage, just to drive out again and find someplace else to park (wasting 20 minutes of valuable lunch time). I'll save my next trip to Flatbread for some evening when I have lots of time to park a long ways away and stroll there or someplace else more accessible. I really wish they had stayed in the old location.

Re: “Dave Alvin Smokes Boise

Great concert last night and if you missed it, start praying Dave Alvin and the Guilty Ones come back our way again soon.

Re: “Out of the Panhandle, Into the Fire

I agree that we don't need new panhandling ordinances, but I do think the City of Boise needs to enforce the existing laws that make it illegal for panhandlers to approach people on the street. I have no problem with the man or woman standing by the roadside or by Albertsons with a cardboard sign -- and if the sign is funny enough, I'm glad to give them a buck. But I do take issue with not being able to walk around downtown during the noon hour or to get from my car to the grocery store without being approached by a teenager or young person asking for help or change or gas money or a cigarette -- that's what I visit San Francisco and New York for.
