Re: “Welcome to Cooper Court, Boise's Growing Tent City of Homeless

Zef- the fencing at Rhode's park has nothing to do with the homeless - they are doing a massive renovation to the skate park so they have fenced off the entire area for construction safety reasons, and the situation at Cooper Court has been going on for much longer than that fencing has been erected.

Regardless of where they are camped out, it needs to end for public safety and sanitation reasons. While I have sympathy for the mentally ill, that is not an excuse to create a public nuisance.

If this were a street full of tax-paying homeowners, and they all chose to sit in their front yards drinking alcohol, doing drugs, engaging in sexual acts, and using the street as a bathroom, you know the cops would be there in an instant.

Re: “Sunday Special

This listing has been here for years, and for years the Bad Boy location on Vista has not been open on Sundays! How many commenters will it take before this listing is removed or changed??

Re: “ISP Issues Statement Regarding 'License-Plate Profiling' Lawsuit

I was pulled over in Nebraska in a tiny, hatchback rental car with Washington plates and was profiled as a "drug runner." After an initial questioning and brief search we were let go with a disclaimer that they "see a lot of drugs come through in small cars like this one." Like ones with Washington (or Colorado) plates?

Re: “A Walk in the (Charred) Woods

I own a cabin in Secesh Meadows - I'm happy to see a conservation group is bringing awareness to this area. The old burn poses a large fire danger threat this year, and some kind of maintenance is necessary to protect the homes and cabins of property owners in the area.

Re: “16 Indicted in Federal Drug Investigation

I agree that if weed was legalized a lot of these issues would just go away. However I disagree with the posters believing there was no illegal activity occurring because these were "legal" tobacco products - this was a legal search and seizure based on a two year investigation. The "tobacco accessories" located within these shops are immediately considered drug paraphernalia due to the fact the shops were also selling the illegal drug spice, regardless of whether or not there was drug residue on the smoking accessories themselves - illegal intent was dictated by the shops selling/offering spice. Tobacco rolling papers are just that, until they are discovered in the presence of drugs - then they are paraphernalia. Bleach is just bleach, until it's found in a meth house. Context defines the purpose to legal entities.

Re: “Occupy May Day

Boycotting housework? Isn't that a bit ridiculous? How does completing your own housework in anyway defy the government/big banking and benefit the people?

Re: “Shoot a Mountain Lion, Lose Your Job?

This makes me so angry, and Richards should not lose his job. If he went to Africa and hunted a hippo legally would he return to the same harsh demands due to "hippo hunting" not being a legal hunt in California?
