Re: “Boise Cops: No Desire to be 'Cup Police' or Smell Tailgaters' Cups

It's great to hear of law enforcement being objective, practical, and down-to-earth! To reply to Tammy; apart from the fact that some people may take advantage of this new motion, having the time and attention of our police force focused on more pressing issues, like safety and security, is a trade worth making!

Re: “Four Restaurants Plan Locations in New Eighth and Main Tower

I agree, a little boring, but at least they're all local. 8th st. is gonna be a full-out restaurant district when this building is complete.

Re: “Researchers: Fasten Your Seatbelt, Climate Change Doubles Turbulence Risk

"Social scientists have started building up a picture of the sort of people who are likely to be climate sceptics. People who are sceptical about climate change are likely to be older, male and politically conservative. The fact that more than half of the incoming Republican politicians in the 2010 US mid-term elections dispute climate change illustrates this perfectly... For an individual who believes that industry should be left to regulate itself, a message about environmental regulations from a campaigner who lobbies for stricter rules for industry is likely to fall on deaf ears."

-Excerpt from Why are people still skeptical of climate change

Skeptics choose to ignore the science because of their perceived implications, but the fact remains that climate change IS happening. To put it in english, Boise, we are drowning in conservatives here. The non-believers posting to this comment thread are unlikely to change their opinion, though, the public shaming of clicking the "dislike" button might help them to realize they are wrong.
