Re: “Anti-Occupiers Turn Camp Into Drive-In

Seriously, Prentice paid more attention to the odometers of the cars rather than what was actually happening. What a joke.

Re: “Anti-Occupiers Turn Camp Into Drive-In

Grannie4news, do you realize that Occupy Boise pays for the porta-pots themselves(at a discounted price granted, but that is because the owner of the locally-owned small business which provides them likes what Occupy is doing)? I'll go ahead and give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are not a scumbag, just hilariously misinformed.

Also, it is of course no surprise that George Prentice once more failed to capture the entire story in his own generic brand of "journalism". Even channel six, a corporate-ran TV station had better reporting on the subject than Boise's "independent news source" (http://www.kivitv.com/news/local/142152913…)

As the police attempted to remove the second vehicle, Occupy members at the vigil surrounded it and tried to prevent it from being towed stating that they believed in any form of political protest, even if it was against them.

George once again proves his lack of journalistic integrity. I wouldn't mind seeing Stephen or Andrew covering the Occupy stories again, but that is just me.

Re: “Video Update: State Can Ban Camping But Not Occupiers

There we go. Thank you for including the video; the full scope of the judgement is now well represented in my opinion.

Re: “Video Update: State Can Ban Camping But Not Occupiers

I suppose I should not find it shocking that both George Prentice and 5fold have once more completely failed at comprehending something regarding Occupy Boise. Judge Winmill ruled that for now, pending a future evidentiary hearing, any actions by the state to remove tents which are a constitutionally protected form of free speech (through the form of indefinite vigil) will be illegal.

It is a sad state of affairs when the Statesman's article in regards to the ruling is more comprehensive than Boise Weekly's.
