Re: “Riesling Revolution

This is a refreshing article to read. Having lived in Germany for several years in the Mosel region, home to some of the worlds greatest rieslings, I appreciate what the Idaho wineries are trying to do. I do agree that most appreciate a less sweet wine, for those that want the uber sweet they can enjoy a sip of a nice desert wine, but keep the rieslings semi-dry. I have yet to get out to the local vineyards to try the local wines (although it hasn't stopped me from drinking bottles) but I'd like to get out there soon. This article may just be that spark I needed to get out there! Thanks BW for having such a great place for an article like this and Tara for writing such a great piece.

Re: “TableRocking the Boat

While St. Andrews was always one of my favorites, overall I think TableRock in my opinion was always at the bottom of the "barrel" when it came to Boise beers. With the rise of Payette, Crooked Fence and now 10 Barrel, they needed to do something to up their game. I think they relied a lot more on being a restaurant than their beer in the past and I think its important to get back to their roots of being a brew-pub. I always enjoy going to Table Rock for their relaxed atmosphere, great food and good beer. It will be a refreshing change to see some new brews there.

Re: “Can You Keep a Secret?

Im not sure why everyone complains about parking. Ive never had an issue with parking downtown. If there isn't street parking, theres always a garage. I feel like theres a parking garage on every corner in Boise. I think the location is a perfect spot for a commercial business. There are too many "lots" downtown boise that need to be developed. If you're heading to Boise from the connector (Eastbound on I84), the first thing you see when you come to Boise is two dirt parking lots. Things like this are steps in the right direction if you ask me. Boise is a growing city and its time we start acting like a real NW city. Glad to see these businesses coming to Boise and not just Eagle, Meridian and other outlying "suburbias". Bring the commerce to Boise, after all, if it wasn't for Boise, those suburbs wouldn't exist.

Re: “More Than 70,000 People, Only 7,700 Parking Spaces at Boise State

Why dont more people take the bus? If theres one thing this town lacks that most other cities of this size have its better public transportation. Going to a Blazers game in Portland is so easy on the Max, and its obvious everyone on the train is going the same place as you. They even increase the amount of trains the night of games. Of course, Boise would never do something to improve their infrastructure at the expense of the tax payers, no, we were a town of school vouchers, why would tax payers want to pay for something "only poor people use"...? Ugh Boise. Also, Elizabeth nailed it. It would seem that Boise and BSU are more concerned with how they can fit more people into the stadium than how students will find parking. You know they actually close parking lots at BSU and dont allow students to park on campus on the night of events? Even when the Boise Philharmonic is playing, students are required to either pay as if their attending the event or find alternative parking. Transportation/Parking is one of the worst systems BSU has to offer which is why i either take the bus to school or ride my motorcycle which is much easier to find parking with.

(The military ID being of a bit more importance than NH, I was referring to no mention of that)
