Re: “Website Turns Dead Mormons Posthumously Gay

"If you were paying attention at all, you would know that Mormons do not baptize people into the Mormon religion without their consent. They may say their names in a ceremony without their consent, but we don't believe the ceremony is efficacious without the persons consent. It's basically a formality. It's something that we believe God needs us to do in order to allow a deceased person to join the church, if they would like to."

cominginsecond, you've got to be kidding me. Your own CHURCH SPOKESMAN says your faith does this. If Satanists were "converting" your co-religionists in the same way, you'd be out-of-your-mind crazy about it.
With all the problems we have in the world, why in God's name do you waste your time with a ritual that OTHER PEOPLE DON'T WANT? Go do some good work instead and don't waste your time. Or ours. This ritual of yours is making Mormonism look like Scientology in the public's eyes. It has certainly brought MY neutral opinion of your faith down to where I'm finding it distasteful.

Re: “Website Turns Dead Mormons Posthumously Gay

The point of this whole thing is that no other religion 'baptizes' those who don't give their consent--in this life or the next--into THEIR religion, do they? To do so is an arrogant act and is not made less arrogant by your failing to recognize that fact. Leave the ancestors of others alone...we don't spit on the graves of Mormons, don't metaphorically spit on the graves of ours. Your arrogant belief is, in the end, a desecration.
