Re: “Press-Tribune: Canyon County Sheriff Slams Obama

Sheriff, concentrate on your actions and those of your fellow law enforcement. Those same actions are what have drawn the scrutiny in the first place.

Re: “Bergdahl Hearing Slated for Sept. 17

Steve, didn't the President make his freedom possible? So the army could try him? Whether you like him or not, he is still the President.

Re: “Are You Ready for Some Football? And Metal Detectors and Bag Searches?

So. Lets get the guns off campus, and things would go back the way they used to be, right? I mean in what instance did you ever think that more guns would make things better.....

Re: “Idaho Says No to Final Resting Place for Veteran and Spouse

Just reminds me again how ashamed I am to have been born in a dirtbag state that doesn't honor military. Period.

Re: “Video: BYU-Idaho Produces Video, Comparing Masturbation to War

why would they compare porn/masturbation to the worst war on the planet? instead of addressing a porn/masturbation conversation like a sane, rational thinking adult, they are addressing the subject like the phrase "masturbating makes you blind", EXCEPT someone has taken it to a nuclear level of comparing it to millions of deaths. such misguided individuals.

Re: “All's Fare In the Wild West of Taxicabs

so, henry johnson, how does that solve the problem? the situation is taxi drivers are not easily able to make a living wage. in your situation, a taxi driver during tuesday 10am non-peak hours would make less money per ride, than they do now. what would motivate that same driver to work 1am saturday? nothing. but according to your prices reflecting supply/demand, what would that price look like at that time frame? 4x?5x more than now? i believe there is an online cab company trying that in new york and san fransisco, and is being sued for price gouging and unfair business practices. i feel the solution is regulation. it's not like we have 1 cab company here that has predictive traffic and demand patterns, analytical geniuses scheduling cost efficient regular customers, and there is not an approach where efficiency and profitability is key.

Re: “'I Assumed That Access to Health Care Is Something Veterans Didn't Have to Worry About'

To add something to watchers list. The american medical association has a board of old doctors. And what that board does, and its only purpose, is to set the price of each procedure and item.in a blue book. Like any other tradesman. Mechanics, electricians, ect. When they make estimates/pricing, they have a bible of pricing to work from. The electricians/mechanics/ anyone that is in a competitive industry evolves. Each year or sooner, their prices change, many times with market demands. The AMA is the only dealer/price setter and has never faced any competition. Until they start updating lower prices for procedures in that blue book, you won't see any change in our core medical costs
