Re: “UPDATE: Man's Body Discovered Under Americana Bridge, Suspect in Custody

I have compassion for the homeless and the death of this man is terrible. I feel like the homeless camp is a different issue. This man could have killed him if that camp didn't exist just the same.

So on the topic of the the homeless camp....would all of you that think the camp should stay there be ok with it if it was next to the playground at Camel's Back Park? If you answer is no to that, which it should be, then the same goes for the camp next to the skate park. My nephew used to love going there. Now he doesn't feel comfortable or safe there and I don't feel safe with him there either.

Re: “Starbucks Makes Dramatic Change to Employee Scheduling After NY Times Expose'

I AM one of "those people" Pete Grandy. I once had to work night audit at a hotel on Christmas Eve (11PM-7AM) then come back at 3:00PM on Christmas afternoon and work till 11PM. If there is a worse shift than that let me know. The fact that Starbucks has decided to not give crappy shifts to their employees isn't "dramatic"....in my opinion. If they had decided to let their employees have holidays with their families because family life is more important than the money the company could earn on those days. THAT would be dramatic.

"Dramatic change"....sorry but that is one of the most boring "news" articles I have ever read.

Re: “Boise Man Behind Bars, After Dog Causes Severe Injuries to Child

heidipgale...My niece had her lower lip ripped off by a border collie here in Boise. It happens a lot...just doesn't get reported on the news. That dog bit three other neighborhood kids before this happened. Of course we didn't find out about it until the others spoke up after this happened.

Re: “Video: Utah School Photoshops Yearbook Pics Without Permission

Sorry but I don't feel bad for these girls at all. I have a one year old daughter and I will never let her dress like some young girls dress these days.

Call me old school but I don't think you should be showing cleavage in jr. high and high school....and tank tops aren't appropriate for school. They didn't read the sign about the dress code and got covered up what's the big deal? Sorry but get over it and dress appropriately next time.

Re: “String of Cyclist, Pedestrian Accidents Claims Another Life

I really believe Boise should have a skywalk on State Street like we have up on Overland. I think it could truly save lives. I think we should have spent the money on a skywalk instead of the 30th street extension. I live near 36th and State and ride the greenbelt often with my family. I HATE crossing State Street with my daughter. GIVE US A SKYWALK!
