No, because it's also a curiosity app. You may just want to see the people that are around you for interest.

With the app you can check in privately if you don't want to be approached. If you check in publicly you are telling others you want to be approached.

In the end, only time will tell if the app takes off. Time will tell. Early beta mixer results are very positive and people are starting to use the app and tell others from outside of the betas. Only time will tell. Aprechiate your feedback. Bryan.

You have to start some where. It does exist and will only get more accurate with time. The main function of the app at this point is to connect people in a real social way.

Re: “Salmon Social Unveils App, Sets May 1 Launch Date

Research is showing that the most unhappy people are those that are using social media online versus those that don't. Our app is different in that it allows people to see the people around them at a place and interact in a personal way. We don't have messaging to eliminate the "creep" factor of "hey you in the corner" and that person not knowing where it's coming from or not wanting to be interrupted. Our app is really a real time ice breaker, curiosity and connection app. No friends. No following. No liking. you can only see people when you are at a venue and when you leave you leave. Just like real life.

In terms of the app being misleading, it is without data, yes. To make it successful and valuable we need mass adoption and more data over time to show the typical. It is too early for that aspect of the app to be accurate. Correct.

Re: “Salmon Social Unveils App, Sets May 1 Launch Date

Not the case from what we are finding. Some people want an icebreaker others networking. True those that are social may not need it, however it does create more opportunities for them to get social. When is the last time an app opened up a new relationship or opportunity that changed your life? It also shows you places you may want to go based on your demographics and interest and improve the likelihood of you having a good time.
