Re: “Shush Up, You Boys!

OK bikeboy, I just like the rumble and roar! And sorry, not sure what your noise ordinance says, but where I live I am within legal limits. I agree that noise polution sucks. But what each person views as too much can vary. I find all those damn cell phone ringtones and yakking people annoying when I am trying to have a nice quiet dinner, or do my grocery shopping. But hey, it your right to use them. And forget having to watch that guy with the cell in his ear and pen to paper while trying to drink his latte in morning traffic..... I find the vibrating bass in the car next to me annoying, but guess what? I also find the bicyclist who decides to ride on a four-lane busy street annoying, even though they may be very, very quiet, but once again, that is their right. So until the government succeeds in taking away ALL of my personal freedom, which they seem to be working fervently at, I will continue to annoy you, just as you annoy me.

Re: “Shush Up, You Boys!

Yes, the bevels are bored out on my pipes. Yes, I do it so that you will notice me, because guess what? A lot of motorist are as blind as you claim to be deaf. Many are distracted by cell phones, music, their kids, what they have to do during the day. I am invisible on my motorcycle to too many motorists. Many even fail to yeild to emergency vehicles. I have the right to ride, I have the right to use the same streets and highways. I have the right to be given the right of way when it is legally mine! No, I am not a "pudgy" old biker. I am an mature woman, yes. I am the widow of an "old biker", and no, he would not have wanted to physically harm you. Unless you turned left in front of us and caused injury. Unless you did not see us in the right lane and pulled into us. "Officer, I did not see the motorcycle", is not an excuse....it is an admission. So our loud pipes may save you some legal consequences down the road. Maybe you should thank us for doing all we can to keep you from failure to yeild right of way and killing one of us.
