Re: “State of the State: Otter Calls for More Community Colleges, Tax Cuts, Defense of 'Traditional Marriage'

More community colleges (but those that people can actually afford) would be a really nice idea. But I assume that it requires big finances, which clearly our country cannot afford at this moment. Unless, of course, the budget will be revises, which won’t happen. Community colleges would be like a life savior for many American families, it is too bad the government can’t seem to notice it. Thank you for this post. It is another reminded of how things are in this country.

Re: “Governor's Cup Scholarship Winners Announced

I bet these guys are extremely happy. In my country we do not have that many scholarships. I mean, you cannot simply write any essay or a doctoral (… find great theses here) and hope that you will be allowed to study for free. Luckily, there is such option in the states for sure. Those who get this opportunity and use it wisely are must feel like the luckiest people ever! I am glad I’ve ran into this wonderful news. It made my day

Re: “Obama Plan: More College Loans, Incentives to Keep Costs Down

High education must be affordable for everyone who wants to get it. NOt only people who are ready to get into a big debt or who simply have enough money to send their kid to school should be qualified. We have to have some alternatives. And I am not talking about free education in dangerous neighborhouds. It is very important to keep our nation educated. I don't know if government is going to vote for raising interest rate in 2013, but it still will be quite interesting to see how many students will go to colleges/universities next season!

Re: “Deadline Looming On Doubling of Student Loan Interest Rates

Can you possibly imagine how many student we are going to see sending their applications to universities when interest rate is going to reach 6.8 As a result less people are going to gradute and of course we may have way less professionals. I will then would like to take a look at further actions of our government. Well it is a good thing that interest rate this year remained 3.4, but it is not like it is not going to be higher the following year. And our Financial Aid is a total joke everyone is laughing at.…

Re: “Congress Extends Lower Student Loan Interest Rate

I do not get why it even worth voting. Isn't it obvious that too many graduates fail to pay off their loans for decades and many of them carry this debt to the grave? Come on, the economy is in the bad shape, unemplyoment percentage keeps on rising, so why would some one increase student loan interest rate at all? The only thing that must be done about it is reduction, becuase everyone wants many professional at their specific areas of job, but how can you get on when the majority simply can't afford any education at all.
