There are too many end-of-days films to list. More often than not, the films have cult followings and cause a fair amount of disagreement. But here's a few to consider that are usually oft-forgotten.

1. A Boy And His DogA 1975 cult classic about ... a boy and his dog.


2. On the BeachAnti-war movie from 1959 about a submarine looking for nuclear survivors.


3. The Book of EliOne of Denzel Washington's best.


4. The RaptureA consideration of zombies and the Bible from 1991.


5. Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)The remake is more visceral than the 1956 original.
