The City of Boise passed its own rules regarding e-bikes in December of 2017, and on Oct. 25, Ada County followed suit, announcing an e-bike policy for Eagle Bike Park.

The new rules ban Class 2 and 3 e-bikes, as well as classless or unlabeled e-bikes at the park. Class 1 e-bikes—bikes with a top electrically assisted speed of 20 miles per hour—are allowed in the park.

In addition, no e-bikes are allowed on trails or property outside the park.

The Eagle Bike Park rules are different from the rules for Boise's Ridge to Rivers trail system, where no e-bikes are allowed without a written exception from the Boise Department of Parks & Recreation.
