While kids scramble through the grass in pursuit of plastic, candy-filled eggs to pack their baskets this Easter, adults can join the fun too thanks to Boise Art Glass and FireFusion Studio, which have partnered up to sequester colorful glass eggs across downtown Boise.

"It's just kind of our way to help give back to the community and thank everyone for supporting us throughout the year," said Boise Art Glass Manager Cara Wright, adding that this is the third or fourth year the companies have staged the hunt.

The challenge started April 15 and runs daily through Saturday, April 20, with each company hiding one egg per day. Clues to the eggs' whereabouts go up on the event Facebook page every day at 1 p.m., with additional tidbits of information added each hour until the egg of the day has been found. Those who find an egg prove their victory by taking a selfie and adding it to the page to alert the rest of the participants that that day's hunt is off. According to Wright, people take the egg hunt seriously and are often quick to find the hidden treasures, even though the two companies work to make their clues challenging.

"We actually have kind of made a game of it to see how long we can keep them hidden for, but it does tend to go through pretty quickly. People jump right in, and we've definitely had, like, five minutes after posting clues someone posting that they've already found it," she said.

If you don't emerge victorious with an egg this season, don't worry—BAG and FFS also partner up for a Halloween hunt to hide glass pumpkins and other artistic trinkets around downtown. Keep an eye on their Facebook pages so that you don't miss the kickoff in October.
